It does seem a bit unfair this time.

In today's day and age, just because someone chooses to model their wardrobe on will and grace and enjoys wearing a pink mask with feathers on most saturday nights, there's no need to single them out for harsh treatment.

So Flushy throws a ball like a girl and minces about with a limp wrist. Big deal. This shouldn't preclude him from posting on blonde poor fellow.

I don't really get why he was banned this time. Maybe I misunderstood as I was in blackpool pwning my brothers at" house of the dead 4" and pool all weekend but it seemed like he was banned for calling someone out for being a racist bigot. Which seems fair enough given the nonsense the guy was coming out with which I managed to read before the thread was deleted.

Flushy is a moron at times, I think we all know that but he is good at poker and posts interesting hand analysis comments, even if they are a bit harsh at times. Plus him being banned means I have to listen to his whinging and bs constantly.

So I never thought I'd say this but free flushy please....

I was a party to the decision made on Sunday night, to suspend Flushy for a month

First off I count myself as a friend of Flushy's as do a number of other mods. There is absolutely no vendetta or victimisation here. Frankly any suggestion that there is such is extremely disappointing. We all get on with Flushy personally and no doubt that will continue.

...However during the course of a particularly tricky thread on Sunday...now deleted.....James was felt by the mods team to have baited and inflamed the situation, and despite contact from several mods this continued.

Another poster was removed from blonde for good as a result of this thread but Flushy was felt to have provoked a situation

I totally agree that James has a huge amount to offer blonde, both in terms of his knowledge and his humour. However the mods team has to face facts. He causes us a huge amount of work by his sometimes tactless and confrontational posts and has had repeated warnings via phone, MSN and face to face as well as PM contact. Mostly informal, some formal. We get regular complaints about the style of posts that James makes, we deal with them. Sometimes these may be people being over-sensitive to Flushy's style, and we have given James a huge amount of leeway. More than many others have had.

This comes only a short time after a weeks ban and was not a decision taken lightly. However we all believe it was the correct decision

This is a vibrant, popular and interesting place for all of us. No one person can over-ride the standards that we set and be exempt from moderation if  the mods collectively decide that is appropriate

Finally in the next 24 hours the team's moderating guidelines are published. These set out to let you all know what we expect from posters and to iron out any consistencies that currently exist.

I believe the mods gave him this thirty day period in which he can give his full attention to submitting an winning application to become a mod.

I think the 30 day ban may be ill-considered. The day he comes back he'll be premenstrual again, then it'll all kick off.

The lunar cycle is 28 days, so it should be okay

I like flushy, i think he can be very funny, however i also think he can be plain rude and ignorant, a couple of his posts in the airport bombing thread where just that.

I'm refering to his answers and comments to Geo and his relative where she expressed her pain after a friend had died in a terrorist related incident and that she didn't appreciate his rudeness and flipantness and his responce was- 'welcome to blonde'.

It struck me at the time as ultra insensative, and it seemed to be a comment playing to his fan base and not showing any feeling at all. This is just one of a few recent comments and it's got to the stage where he will hurt the newer members of blonde and stop people posting, this in turn affects the majority.

I've enjoyed being a blonde for a couple of years and have made lots of new friends, recently i have found blonde to be less enjoyable- it would be a shame if others felt the same and stopped posting.

So possibly flying in the face of popularity i support the ban, what i would rather see tho is James taking a step back and actually re-reading some of his comments and if he feels they are still what he feels and would express again- maybe he should question himself too?

There is a certain awkwardness to posting this especially as he can't answer for himself (he'd probably reply- 'standard' lol) however it's something that affects us all and is probably best discussed.

I dont want to upset anyone, i just want to come on here, read, reply and enjoy Blonde again.

James hope to see you back on here soon, your a great asset and a great guy- Please just tone it down mate and bring back the old flushie.

If someone's been warned numerous times and still continues to be a prick (ohh no wait he's good at cards so its ok to act like that?) he deserves whatever he gets. He's had more warnings than anyone.

Some 4-5 people continually complaining he shouldn't be banned, yadda yadda yadda. Go run your own forum where your the mods.

30 days is a big ban and im in the dark as to why it was isued but rather than seeing a rise in the rudeness of people, what i am observing is how overly sensitive people are (not referring to why flushy got banned, just a general observation).
I didnt realise so many blondes are so thin skinned. If people take every slightly less than positive comment to heart from some stranger who they dont REALLY know then it is them who needs to take a look at themselves IMO. Dunno if this is the right thing to say but if its directed at a woman then thats different but if its man to man, then grow some..... and get over it!
