Have we not been here before? again and again.
If someone's been warned numerous times and still continues to be a prick (ohh no wait he's good at cards so its ok to act like that?) he deserves whatever he gets. He's had more warnings than anyone.
Some 4-5 people continually complaining he shouldn't be banned, yadda yadda yadda. Go run your own forum where your the mods.
LOL, post of the week!!
Oh, A MONTH?? FFS talk about overkill!!

I like flushy, i think he can be very funny, however i also think he can be plain rude and ignorant, a couple of his posts in the airport bombing thread where just that.
I'm refering to his answers and comments to Geo and his relative where she expressed her pain after a friend had died in a terrorist related incident and that she didn't appreciate his rudeness and flipantness and his responce was- 'welcome to blonde'.
It struck me at the time as ultra insensative, and it seemed to be a comment playing to his fan base and not showing any feeling at all. This is just one of a few recent comments and it's got to the stage where he will hurt the newer members of blonde and stop people posting, this in turn affects the majority.
I've enjoyed being a blonde for a couple of years and have made lots of new friends, recently i have found blonde to be less enjoyable- it would be a shame if others felt the same and stopped posting.
So possibly flying in the face of popularity i support the ban, what i would rather see tho is James taking a step back and actually re-reading some of his comments and if he feels they are still what he feels and would express again- maybe he should question himself too?
There is a certain awkwardness to posting this especially as he can't answer for himself (he'd probably reply- 'standard' lol) however it's something that affects us all and is probably best discussed.
I dont want to upset anyone, i just want to come on here, read, reply and enjoy Blonde again.
James hope to see you back on here soon, your a great asset and a great guy- Please just tone it down mate and bring back the old flushie.
Matt.
Ive been posting on Blonde for a long time and its fair to say Matts hit the nail on the head with this post, I cant really add much more but i hope Flushy reads this and takes it on board.
Great post Matt.

Good post and to be perfectly honest we did not really feel threatened by Flushy, merely thought some of his posts were indeed insensitive.
I deliberately left the thread when that idiot came on spouting so much nonsense and am not surprised in the least that Flushy lost it with him. If I had stayed on the thread I would probably be joining James in the BB house to be honest.
Over the last couple of days I went over what Fearisthekey had said about a possible misinterpretation of Flushy's "doesn't concern me" comment, meaning that what he was implying was that the fact that this looked like an amatuerish attempt it caused him no concern. However i could not revist as the post had been removed.
In hindsight I may well have asked for a better explanation and for that I apologise. I too have enjoyed so much of Flushy's input to the forum. On the say something nice about Flushy thread, my comment was something like - Honest, irritatingly at times, but honest.
It is such a pity that Flushy himself rose to the bait in the way he occaisionally tries to get others to do.
Thanks to the Mods for the lifetime ban on the other guy, I don't know him and he was not helping my cause any and as I said previously was the reason I left the thread.
I, like many on Blonde, Look forward to Flushy's return.
Geo
Oh yeah that was all really about thrashing out the debate more than anything, Geo, my real gripe is with the 'permanews' channels like bbcnews24 and Sky that go on and on and on and on about this stuff blowing it up into something enormous when I thought it was just a failed attempt. Any terrorist attack is serious but these news channels just go crazzzy.
The thread was pulled so I didn't get a chance to say what I wanted, but I did want to point out that I'm sorry for your loss and hope that times like these do not bring the memories back too much for you. I lost someone close in a speeding accident so I guess that's where my analogies were coming from...
That other guy.....I just thought/hoped he was very drunk.

Appreciated mate, I know only too well the problems caused by the media, the barstewards were near enough camped in my parents garden trying to get pics and comments, all this whilst we were trying to prepare to bury my brother. Added to that the news and paper articles that were so far off the mark they were unbelieveable and only caused more grief. They really are a nasty bunch (polite comment).

I hope that in the new and improved rules it includes this one:
It is ok to insult people if you dont specifically name them, even thought its blatantly obvous who you are referring to

Excellent..so now we can all look forward to 'well played sir'...'ship it'...'nice one'...'take it down'..posts.
Someone suggested an alternative forum...ie 'not for the faint hearted', (James will understand the reference - aviation site).
Perhaps the 'Rub Down' or somesuch name. But banning him is wrong because (a) If it's because you find him a wind up it just adds fuel to the egotiscal feckers fire or (b) You think he's a nasty guy with nothing of value to add to this community then I humbly suggest you would have to walk many a mile to meet someone who would dig a mate out of a hole like Flushy would.

Some people agree with the ban, some people don't. Whatever decision the mods make, it's nigh on impossible to satisfy everyone's views, so they're always going to be in the line of fire from wherever they stand. In this sense, I feel that it is a shame that people can't take this into consideration before posting.
I am not currently a moderator of this forum, but I was at one point, so I can respect not only the amount of work they put in, but also the decisions they make, whether I agree with them or not. They may make incorrect decisions, of which is inevitable and supremely subjective, but they always try to act fairly and in the general interest of the forum - to suggest otherwise is highly offensive.
When I first stumbled upon this forum, I was enduring an excruciating 9 to 5 job in a place I detested, bored out of my skin and glancing at the clock every spare moment as I willed away the hours. blonde poker made my time at that hellhole a whole less painful, and for that, I am extremely grateful. Since then, I have garnered an equal, if not more so, amount of joy from the various posts from the eclectic membership of this forum and have lost track of the amount of times I have laughed, smiled or been thoroughly entertained by what I have read. On top of this, we are provided free live updates, blonde bashes, cardroom deals, exclusive blonde offers and, speaking for myself only, countless new friends that otherwise I may never have met.
What did I have to pay for my days being improved? Nothing. What has been asked in return of me? To respect the work of the moderators who work effortlessly to making this forum what it is today.
Is it really that much to ask in return?...

well said snoop.. I have stayed off these threads as James and others are members so a little distance is needed at such times, that said I think that flushy is one of the nicest people along with "that old guyof the telly" that I have had the pleasure of meeting throughout my Grosvenor career.
