Bring it home to Wales Dave, Good Luck thumbs up

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

This is the same event that DC final tables in 2005 , just a few days before the start of the $5k pot limit holdem event that I won. DC did not know it at the time but the way he played helped set the stage for my eventual win in the pot limit event.

DC was short stacked the entire event ( 38/40, 28/30, 17/20 ect) and he managed to make another WSOP final table by using patience, patience, patience. I was in the room sweeting DC as I played single table satelites, I had dinner w/ him that day and spoke to him on most of his breaks. He was always calm and confident, he taught me that knowing your own strengths and weaknesses are very important in making it through a WSOP field to a final table. He never had chips, he just had great heart and faith that he could get the job done. Dave has told me that he played the best poker of his life that day, I dont think anyone could argue w/ him!

I truly believe that this was one of the keys that put my mental state to ease that helped me play w/ the best plays in the world for a 3 day stretch and eventually win a bracelet in my 1st ever WSOP final table. Here in the Unites Stated DC's  final table was shown on ESPN right before mine, it was great to see DC on the big stage right before the TV debut of the "ROOKIE" on ESPN.

Good luck to Dave, I think this may be the thing that gives the poker world a look at one of the most respected pros in the game.
