O

Doyle Brunson has been eliminated - I was just counting his short stack when he got it in the middle in a threeway pot of hi-lo Omaha.  I think his actual eliminator (Raymer was the third player in the hand) was John Hanson, who raised Raymer off on the river with the board reading:
two hearts
Doyle Brunson showed:  Two Clubs
But he was knocked out by the A-3-5-6 which had got there on the river.  Scoop.

A sidelong backwards glance from Barry Greenstein, and Negreanu comes over to Table Famous...

And we're now launched into the dinner break, only a little briefer than yesterday's - off for more ill-advised snacks - I think you can get orders of 50 chicken wings.

And we are back, having almost been run over by Doyle Brunson on his little scooter on the way as he shot off into the sunset.

So - with 74 players remaining it looks like we'll be playing until roughly 2am tonight, if the field doesn't consume itself fast enough to get down to 48 before the level-cut-off.  After a slow start, today has seen a goodly number of eliminations, so maybe it's time to go get a bunch of chip estimates for the names still left (that's all players still left - change that to "the ones facing the rail.").

LOL By incredibly amusing coincidence, that is EXACTLY the colour and model of the scooter he was travelling down the corridor (at not inconsiderable speed) on!

I picked that one because it said "XL" on it.

R

Marco Traniello is OUT.

Short stacked, he took his chance in the Razz against Huck Seed's raise with the three diamonds despite holding a as his upcard, all the chips were in by the fourth street and dealt so quickly I could only see the final hands.

Traniello:

Two Diamonds for a Ten-low

Seed:

three diamonds for a Seven-low.

Though next hand (below) Eli Elezra manages to bluff Huck Seed off a pot showing a Jack-low on 5th street.

Snoops' favourite Comic Book Guy, Todd Brunson is also OUT.

Erik Seidel is moving along nicely, it helped here when he picked up a on fourth street to go with his upcard against Greg Raymer whose was besmirched by the and led to the former WSOP champion folding to a bet.

Counted some chips.  You'd think I'd be better at it after two years of doing so professionally, but I still feel obliged to add that these may not be accurate.  The main issue I am having with them is the colour coding of the 25k and the 5k chips - the former being pink and brown, the latter being the same shade of pink, plus brown and baby blue.  It's hard to explain.  I wonder if these will be the Main Event chips?

Rob Hollink      180k
Bruno Fitoussi    380k
Gavin Smith       40k
Isabelle Mercier   55k
Annie Duke       310k
Max Pescatori     250k
Phil Ivey            180k
Erick Lindgren    175k  (probably - messy stacker, back to me)
David Singer       245k
Phil Hellmuth     160k

Hellmuth to Lindgren:  "I just lost 100k conflip..." to Kristy Gazes, in Razz.
Lindgren to Hellmuth:  "It's not too late to buy insurance."  (Pronounced insurance.)
