Could you look at the monitor next time you are in the big room and give me an updae on the Seniors Event?  Thanks Much
Dan

Sure - Homer is out there now, expect information imminently (we're not swamped with requests at 6am GMT)... Smiley

This, by the way, is what just the section of the Rio Amazon Room devoted to the H.O.R.S.E. tournament looks like at the moment.  Note the double rail thronged with spectators whom I catch saying some odd stuff - "That guy, Phil Laak, he never takes his sunglasses off.  Never." - "This is a HORSE tournament?  Is that poker?" - "There he is, oh my GOD, it's Negreanu!" "I think it's No Limit, or, wait, it's $50,000" etc. etc.  There are better ones, but I should measure them out over the full five days...

I saw Bill Chen drifting out of the H.O.R.S.E. area, so am going to tentatively suggest he is OUT.

S

Huck Seed raised preflop with the showing but Eli Elezra re-raised despite his upcard being the Two Clubs, Seed caught a and check called Elezra, who had hit a seemingly unhelpful , but once Seed caught the against Elezra's and called another bet, it was clear that the former WSOP ME champion wasn't going to give up and the remaining streets were checked down with neither player seemingly hitting anything. Elezra quickly mucked after the river leaving Seed showing just the Aces to take a chunky pot down.

E

Phil Hellmuth has just been moved into the ominously empty seat between Eli Elezra and Allen Kessler.  That table saw Justin Bonomo getting the best of the last few minutes of Stud 8/b - one hand:

Huck Seed was the in-position bettor, with the , then the and showing.
Justin Bonomo held X X three diamonds
Eli Elezra had come along as far as X X

The river-card saw Justin announcing, "A seven [low] and a pair of Sevens..." which was enough to take the whole thing from Seed.  He got the next pot too after Allen Kessler gave it up on fourth street.

Alan Cunningham is now the chip leader with over 500k. If he wins this,  he can certainly say, "Happy Days!"

And then maybe party with his twin brother Richie...

Cyndy Violette has lost a couple of decent sized pots, first being check/raised from 16k to 32k by Kenny Tran on two spades Two Clubs board and passing after a dwell.

She then check called Mike Matusow down on a three diamonds board, Matusow showing , Cyndy flashed the and mucked.

With just 54 players left, it looks like they may get to the magic 48 before the end of the suggested level... Bill Gazes is gone, and I saw Gavin Smith doing the slow walk...
