Peter Charalambous, the Londoner who I believe Jen pictured earlier, is slying high(ish) with 66k.

Meanwhile, everytime I pass Dubai, he has come chips in the middle, but it's working - he's currently sitting on (actually, sitting's the worst possible word) around 5-60k.

John Kabbaj is OUT.

6 way pot on Table Dubai including Dubai himself, Kabbaj, Duthie, Ted Lawson and two mateyboys. Everyone checked the Turn and awaited the River, the board reading . Checked around to Mateyboy who pushes all-in with for 5.9k, only to be called by Kabbaj who had Queens (although John may have been in before the River). Either way, he's a gonna.

Adrian Walsh bets 3.3k on a two spades board and take it down. He's up to 60k and looking strong.

Table neighbour Hoyt Corkins, meanwhile, only has 9,300.

Rumour has it that Bruno Fitoussi and Phil Laak are both OUT, pretty sure about the former, but the latter will need a double check with the grapevine.

We're just a few minutes away from the dinner break, which will be a minimum of 90 minutes.

I am sorry, until you mentioned him we were not aware he was playing this event (no player list) and the continual mix-n-match of the tables as people bust and move has meant I have no idea where he is.  After the dinner break will make an effort to spot him.

Didn't spot that (must have been in pressroom), but will try asking Adrain Walsh who was at that table.

What I can say, however, is that Davood is mad as a box of monkeys.

Salad for Jen, she's on a diet.

Anyhow, back to the poker, and the gun has sounded.

And they're off!

I am so glad you asked!  Sadly the hour just vaporised before I got to the nice stir-fry place and I had to make do with one of their chicken saladinaboxes.  I opt for this out of desire to avoid repetition of last year's hotdog OD.

Snoopy is right - we're back and the cards are in the air...

Juha Helppi is OUT.

A multi-way pot saw Juha push over the top of an early position bet (there were 2 other initial callers too, including Todd Brunson, who folded) with a rather weakish hand, but somehow found himself ahead.

Juha =

Mateyboy =

But, unfortunately for the flying Fin, the vulnerable lead was short-lasted as the board came , Helppi slapping the air in frustration as he left.
