Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

Long term truant!

I know, the joke's wearing thin now, no more from me, until next time I feel like it.

You can use windows movie maker already installed on your puter.
Open it up, import pictures and drag them into the boxes along the bottom, then save them as a movie and burn it to disk.
You can also add a soundtrack if you want.

Burned it to disk but DVD player wont read it

How did you burn it?
You should "save to my computer" then burn it from there.

I chose the "Write these files to cd" option in Moviemaker.

If I save to my computer, does it matter where I save to, i.e. "My Documents?"

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/expert/bridgman_burndvd.mspx

"As you may be aware, Movie Maker 2 doesn't natively burn DVDs."

As someone else said, you need something like Nero. You can download a trial version from www.nero.com (beware, it's huge). Or download a freeware DVD burning application like www.imgburn.com

Save it as i said then open it in media player (right click>open with) then select "burn" at the top and on the right it will say something like burn loaded file and burn it onto dvd.
Media player is free too btw

I'm not really sure what "save to my computer" means Ian. I have saved it to "My documents" but you didn't say if that was ok.

Windows media player won't open it btw.

In movie maker click view>task pane, this opens a window on the left, there is an option under "3" to "save to my computer" this will save the file as .wmv which can be opened and burned by media player.

Right. Saved to my computer, opened and burned by media player (about 30 short clips) only 4 of these readable on DVD player. Those 4 were taken with a different digital camera.

Any ideas?

PS- I can open/view all with media player now.

Hmmmm, i really don't know too much about the subject TBH just know what you can do rather than have ever done it.
Afew things spring to mind, are the 4 working pics a different format/extension??
i.e. are they .jpg and the rest .tif or something?
Does the burned disk work on your computer? if so it could be the dvd player.
The other thing is maybe the burner on media player isn't too good, maybe try one mentioned by others in this thread?
Poor quality dvd's can also have an effect on the dvd player you are using.
