You know that feeling you get when you see the biggest something in the world?
Like, a few weeks back, that B-52 bomber, or the Pyramids, or the London Eye, Wembley Stadium, a 747, some things are just so big your jaw drops. (Behave the smutty girls, please).
Well, I just, for business reaqsons, signed up to 2 + 2.
Jeez - how big is THAT Forum? How many Miods must they get through?
That is BIG.

Also from old Shaky.....
Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.
If only I could tell you how many friendships I've had destroyed by loaning money Tom. I was thinking about this last night, & there have been so many. I hate nippers with a vengeance, especially those who sneak under the protective barriers because they are friends. I'll loan any good friend money, that's different, but those who loan with no intention of repaying are the pits.

Is now a good time to ask to borrow a couple of hundred?

Lol, I was about to ask you the same thing.

I never had that feeling until I saw the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The first man made structure that's ever made me take a deep breath and say "wow"

This is true.
I just thought, "let's go for it, we are 4 handed, only 1 player behind me, ave stack is 7 x BB, I have 5 x BB, let's gamble", & I shoved, just like that, no hesitation, nothing, just snap-jammed.
Normally AK is the bottom of my range here, but I thought, well, A-Q is only a spot behind. I placed a finger in the air too, & shouted "ship" quite loudly. Amazing stuff.

I will one day not bust out early and take down one of these blooming sky tournies, they are so soft but also so quick you dont have that much of an edge for long.

The Headline TV Tourneys are, err, "fast", but there's clearly a knack to playing them, as numerous players have won them 5 or 6 times, & serial cashed.
I had occasion to don my PR hat yesterday & do some SP schmoozing on the great 2 + 2, which I found a little un-nerving to be honest, but, ready, almost eager, for a prolonged battle, I seemed to get them onside disappointly quickly.
Poker players are seemingly the same the world over - note the irony in this statement by one Poster there, on the Thread.
"....The play is UNBELIEVABLY bad on there .....
There are definately better sites to be found instead of Sky......"
Yes yes, there are much, much tougher sites around.
Another complained -
complained
- that everyone just limp-folds.
There's nowt as queer as poker folk.

I'm still in awe at 2 + 2, jeez, it's impressive.
Unless I'm doing it wrong, it seems to me they have a neat little trick with Editing Posts. Once a Post has been made AFTER your Post, you cannot Edit your Post. Stops a lot of nonsense that, I imagine.

Ahh - half-hour - yes, that would make sense, & would prevent "second-guess" editing. I like that.
I did take a quick look at the Strategy Boards, but thought I'd give Posting there a miss.......
. I'm too scared (wrong word, but you know what I mean) to Post oin blonde's PHA, never mind 2 + 2!
I mean, really, the art of debating constructively & non-confrontationally seems to have almost sunk without trace. In short, I don't "wanna battle", I want to learn. And some spotty & illiterate teenager yelling at me "JUST DOO IT, WE ORL DO" does not tick too many educational boxes for me.
