Tikay where do you stand on the Kev takes a newspaper to an unidentified insect scandal?
Are insects less than moles?
EVERYTHNG is (are?) less than moles, they are truly God's finest creatures.
After moles, it's penguins, then humans.
I'm wholly insensitive to the feelings of insects, which is rather odd if I think it through.
Save the cockroach.
I have come to the conclusion recently that ducks are actually God's finest creature. Ducks can walk on land, they can swin on water, they can dive underwater, and they can fly. That's a pretty universal set of skills really. They also quack. I mean what other animal quacks? Oh and it's pretty cute when the momma duck is followed by all the little baby ducks. Best of all though they are delightful wrapped in a pancake with a hint of plum sauce.
Mallards are, apparently, the world's most sexually decadent creatures, too. If it moves, they will attempt to give it one. Even if the target is dead, they still do it. They do it with scores of other breeds, too, & as a result, many duck species are threatened with extinction. I believe some 30% are left-footers, too.

Ducks like sex? OK, well that's another plus point I suppose. What amazes me is lots of species of duck, geese and swans mate with the same partner for life. That's a stupendous achievement in this modern world where temptations for a duck who likes to shag anything is around every corner. Love that concept of mating for life. Also the courtship dance of the western grebe is one of the loveliest things in the bird world.

Three women die together in an accident and go to Heaven. When they get there, St Peter says, "We only have one rule here in Heaven: don't step on the ducks."
They enter Heaven, and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place. It is almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first woman accidentally steps on one.
Along comes St Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw. St Peter chains them together and says, "Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly man."
The next day, the second woman steps accidentally on a duck, and along comes St Peter, who doesn't miss a thing, and with him is another extremely ugly man. He chains them together with the same admonishment as for the first woman.
The third woman has observed all this and not wanting to be chained for all eternity to an ugly man, is very, VERY careful where she steps. She manages to go months without stepping on any ducks, but one day St Peter comes up to her with the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on. He is tall, tanned, slim and muscular.
St Peter chains them together without saying a word.
The woman, thinking that this is great, remarks, "I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity."
The guy says, "I don't know about you, but I stepped on a duck."

Will you be taking in the USA's no.1 all-time selling male artist while you're in Vegas?

Not a hope in hell!
I have never yet seen a Show in Vegas, I cannot imagine anything which appeals less, & I fully intend to maintain that position. I'm told that Penn & Teller are pretty good, but I saw them in a London Theatre show a good few years back. Good, too, but it's lioke going to the FA Cup Final - once is enough, box ticked, move on.
As Dr Paisley said. Never.
Never

I have really made an effort to get revved up by the World Cup in South Africa, but it just has not done it for me.
I really think that the Premiership & CL packages, so wonderfully presented on TV, have spoilt me. The side-action in these is key, too, with the Managers now being as high-profile & charismatic as many of the players.
City-United, Arsenal-Spurs, United-Liverpool, all make the pulse race, the build up, the match, all the interviews, & next day's match reports in the better newspapers.
But Chile, Uruguay, Spain, even Germany & England, are just not doing much for me. I'll be on the M1 during tomorrow's encounter, & I'm not in the least fussed that I'll not be able to watch.
I AM fussed that because America won, England's match became Sunday instead of Saturday, & so tomorrow's £100 at Luton, my last planned Live action for a few weeks, will struggle to make 2 Tables, & probs start an hour late, if at all. In which case, I'll get the huff & just swerve it completely, & sulk all evening.

Yup, GREAT writing. But no, it was not Ton, or even Tom.
So, Swansea, July 24th. Yes or no?

Yes yes yes bring back Jeeves.
I played golf today, it was captain's day at Wollaton and boy was it hot.
On the plus side when I got home I weighed myself and I'm a svelte(ish) 11st. 10lbs., a new low for the year.

Next we'll be hearing that other grand slams are much more enjoyable than Wimbledon and the Heineken Cup is a better televisual event than the 6 nations rugby?
Will buy that so long as you don't push the speedway thing where they ride the motorbikes round and round as being a greater spectacle than Formula 1, and that the Olympic Games are all well and good but they're no WWE Smackdown.

I think that the other Grand Slam tennis events are close to Wimbledon. Eurosport covers the Australian Open and French Open very well and Sky Sports covers the US Open equally well. Eurosport even get Viriginia Wade in the studio to act as a pundit.
The rugby in the Heineken Cup is almost always more enjoyable than the Six Nations which has been particularly poor for the last couple of years. For excitement, nothing has exceeded the Currie Cup in recent years.
While Speedway is dull (to me at least) I would say that Moto GP is much more exciting than Formula 1 due to more competition and the higher level of "skill" demonstrated by the riders.
I can't say that I'm much of a fan of WWE but I've never watched it.

Blatant Sky is better than the BBC or ITV post imo.
