Bit of a random thread to put this in, but it may be of interest to the general TK readership:
Video animation showing site and date of every nuclear explosion (45-98).
http://gizmodo.com/5600704/the-explosions-of-every-nuclear-bomb-to-date
I was absolutely shocked by the final total. I had no idea. I thought it would be in the 10s, or the low 100s at worst. Real wow moment.

MAD
Unfortunately, the way we're going, it does seem pretty assured.

Thanks Rex.
The world has gone utterly mad.
Has our planet ever changed so quickly & much as it has in the last 70 years?

To be fair, there isn't much "room" for testing them in Britain although it may be worth investigating the possibility of combining a test with a civic improvement scheme in Burnley.

Nice to see someone use an apostrophe before the word phone btw. So often missed that one.

meh imo. saying missed suggests that it should be there which is untrue. you can have an apostrophe if you really want but that's very old fashioned english, phone is both correct and the accepted norm
