but 2.93metres tall means nothing.

boldie is 2.93 metres tall. the average male adult is about double that

Very much this. Also weigh approx 150 Kg these days...Thankfully I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and I watch what I eat or my weight would just balloon.

150kg.

Is that about 7st?

The method for working out what a kg is in real money is quite simple.

A bag of cement (1cwt, which is 8 stone, or 112lbs), is 50kg. So Boldie equates to three bags of cement. I am currently one & a half bags of cement, & Tom would be just over 2 bags of cement.

Simple.

But boldie is so small and petit, he can't possibly weight more than 7st - even with all that hair.

OED definition of "petit" is Small; little; insignificant; mean

The OED is rarely wrong.

A brilliant topic for the day! You may know I am on a weight loss crusade! Today I have reach my first target of 16 st, over a week ahead of schedule, but I love the fact (given my profession) that I can say that I weight 2 bags of cement!

Today I'll be known as 2 bags!

Ty tikay, you have brightened my day with that little nugget!

Working quietly away today, had a very productive morning, but now Nice Lady (aka "Loud Lady") behind me - who is now my friend, talks to me & all sorts - has started today's communal Xmas Music session.

Currently, on auto-replay, is a very slow & downbeat version of "Silent Night".

5 more days, & it'll all be history, thank God.

Today's Management Meeting focussed on....Christmas. Promotions, giveaways, Xmas Freerolls, Sky Santa, Sky Elf & Sky Rudolph. Tourney Guarantees over Xmas. Xmas this, that & the other. Thursday's Show (which I'm doing) is the Christmas special, & they want me to be nice about Xmas. As if.  I will be given "surprise" Xmas pressies on screen. Oooh. Christmas out-takes. Silly Xmas hat, the works.

"And who is doing PTP online on Xmas Eve, as they can be Santa, & give away lots of nice freebies?". That'll be me, then. So I'll play Online until Midnight, then wish everyone a "Very Merry Christmas" on the stroke of midnight.

Weird thing is, it actually DOES work - it does drive the numbers north, so that makes it worthwhile. Not exactly sure about the "Spirit of Christmas", though. I sold my soul, but got a great price.

Into each life, a little rain must fall.

It'll be lonely this Christmas, without you to hold,

It'll be cold cold cold without you this Christmas.

Not sure, might be Elvis Presley? I wonder how many times in my lifetime I've heard that track. 63 trillion?

Heard about a new number last night - a "quadrillion". May have been a level.

If Frosty the Snowman comes up next, that's it. I'm outa here.

Lunch shortly, in the Staff Canteen Restaurant.

Last week our ears were assailed by a lady on a hirdie-girdie doing Xmas songs.

Yestrerday, it was Carol Singers, dressed up in Dickensian clothes, singing in that high shrilly voice that Carol-Singers prefer. Can't I eat my dinner in peace?

Food? Turkey, Xmas Pud, & Mince Pies.

Bloody balloons everywhere.

Les Gray - Mud.

PS- How would you handle Christmas if you had kids?
