[Not wearing a seat belt] Sorry? That is unbelievable?
What was the thinking behind that?
Not wearing one is probably safer than wearing one - Google risk homeostasis.
Pull the fuse on your airbags as well and you will be even safer.

Didn't Avram Grant get caught visiting prostitutes whilst still being married or is this a different 'lovely bloke' Avram Grant?

In the Wikipedia article on risk homeostasis it cites the example of the cabbies with ABS having the same crash statistics as those without - when I was working in insurance the statisticians also saw this with the claims data, in fact the cars with ABS were worse.
We wanted to remove the discount for cars with ABS but the underwriters refused to budge.

ABS is pretty hard to use and most people don't try to use it until they have to.

Defo same bloke. Also definitely between him and his Mrs. I don't care that he goes into a "massage parlour", doesn't make him a bad person in my book so definitely still lovely bloke.

ukrainian cabbies give you right filthy looks and sometimes shout at you if you try and put on your seatbelt, it's taken as an insult against their driving

I'm not sure I see the connection, though I know you are on the wind-up.
My respect is for his courage in the face of all the adversity, & lack of support from Directors & Fans alike, during which I feel he has shown, in public utterings, immense class & dignity. For that, I admire him. I don't admire his prossy habit, not one bit, but I don't know him as an individual, I "know him" as a Football Manager, & I think he has been disgracefully treated by his paymasters.
So, if he walks away with a nice windfall, I think this is the exception which proves the rule, & good luck to him.
I was taught many years ago that there is a huge difference between respect for someone, & how they do their job, & liking them.

This is something else entirely

But... the fine for endangering other road users by attempting to multi-task in this way is substantially less than the fine imposed here...

Equally a ridiculous waste of money but this line made me smile in the first one
