You gotta love the game.
The Boy Nicholson continues his exuberant ramblings from lovely Las Vegas, &, latterly, Leeds.
More monsta pots, alcohol, Flushy, alcohol, Middy, alcohol, morale, alcohol, craps, & alcohol.

Who was it who said (maybe not exactly these words) "the best thing in life is playing poker and winning, the second best is playing poker and losing" ?
Who ever said it probably stole it from:

Possibly.
Quite unrelated, but this guy was - allegedly - something of a spin-up merchant......Anyone know if it's true, half-true, or utter tripe?

Jeremy Clarkson strikes.......
The BBC has been forced to apologise after Jeremy Clarkson said he would like to see striking public sector workers "shot" in front of their families.
The Top Gear presenter made his comments on BBC's The One Show on the evening
of Britain's biggest public sector strikes in 30 years.
He said of the strikers: "I'd have them all shot. I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families.
"I mean, how dare they go on strike when they've got these gilt-edged pensions that are going to be guaranteed while the rest of us have to work for a living."
Clarkson's comments caused an immediate uproar on Twitter, with hundreds joining the backlash.
Chat show host Piers Morgan tweeted: "Clarkson can abuse - and hit (weakly..) - me all he likes. But what he said about the strikers just proves he's a nasty little twerp."
Author Tony Parsons tweeted: "Jeremy Clarkson has misjudged the moment. Criticising striking public sector workers today is like sieg-heiling at Last Night of the Proms."
KateakaMrsO tweeted: "First time I have ever complained about a programme, as I usually think people can use off button but Jeremy Clarkson a disgrace."
A BBC spokesman said The One Show made an on-air apology at the end of the show to "viewers who may have been offended by Jeremy Clarkson's comments".
Jon Trickett , Labour's shadow minister for the Cabinet Office, said: "No one wants these strikes but most of today's strikers are mums, not militants.
"Clarkson should apologise. And the Prime Minister should make clear he disassociates himself from the distasteful remarks uttered by one of his friends."

I think that's hilarious, I happened to see it and he was asked about the strikes and he said something positive and then said "as this is the BBC and we have to be balanced I'd better give the opposite side too" and made the comments (in jest).
Now it's being taken out of context to create a story.
Reminds me of this song:

Had a situation (or two) like the craps incident. at any time, you are entitled to take off all your bets EXCEPT the pass line. This is because the player has an edge on the come out roll, but a disadvantage once a point is established. For proof, bet on the don't pass line and the crew will cheerfully let you take that bet back at any time.
One time involved getting a bit too rowdy (alcohol
may
have been involved) and the other time I was accused of being a mechanic. As I was doing my brains at the time, I took it as a cold rub. Both times I made a point of tipping the cleaner/waitress/bell hop what would have been the dealer's tip, taken every bet back and left them to it.
The pit boss could in his discretion, let you take your pass line back if he felt you had a case. But as you had probably been pretty annoying for the last half hour to get to that point, I'm guessing he didn't...

Reminds me of this song:
It's now reported that UNISON are taking "urgent legal advice" (as opposed to slow & tardy legal advice) as to Mr Clarkson's comments.
Rather like Ryanair's bookings soar after every O'Leary rant, presumably Clarkson's stock has risen even further. He'll be loving the noise, & can hike his After-Dinner speaking fee up 50% now, with or without his BBC gig.
Some of these guys don't 'arf know how to work the media.
To be fair, what a ridic thing to say - "have 'em all shot". Only a bigot & a fool would ever suggest such a thing.

We were filming in High Wycombe High Street on Sunday. I don't do High Streets, ever, & it was interesting to note a new (to me) phenomonom.
Flash gits in sexed-up cars - spoilers, tinted windows, big exhausts, the usual kiddy-stuff - drove up & down the High Street, windows wide open, with their Radios on full-blast, with the Bass set at maximum.
Which everyone for 300 yards around had to listen to.
What is it with these guys? They think they look clever, cool, it's good to invade everyone's sound privacy with their frigging music?
I'd have 'em all shot. Loudly.

Lol, I'd be there in a flash if I could be sure of a seat, but it never happens, & I'm tired of the excuses, & hanging round.
I had some private discussions with (well-known blonde) about helping restore the enthusiasm for playing @ G-Luton this week, & I want to do all I can to help support the place, & the players, so I won't go into detail of why I rarely go there now. I've gone from 3 nights every week, to once in the last 3 months.
Anyway, try try & try again & all that, & I'm 90% certain to be there tomorrow (Friday) evening for the £100 - or even some DC. Saturday, not so much, I think I'll go up to DTD & look up some pals, & maybe play their excellent Super 50 thing, then some DC. Sunday, back to work.
Work now, too - got a Live Show in 25 minutes, so gotta go.
I've had quite a tough few days, headwinds, clouds, etc, so apologies for the lack of replies to comments on the Thread. Tomorrow, I plan to chill all day, & so will try & get the Diary back on track. Been quite a week, when I think back on it, one way & another. Shame it was more one way than another.
