It's been a long time coming, & an ocean of water has passed under his particularly troublesome bridge, but Tiger Woods got back in the winners enclosure last night, albeit in an 18 runner Invitational Mickey Mouse Tourney. (He has won it 4 times previously).
I doubt we'll ever see the "old" Tiger again, & by all accounts, his putting remains fragile.
I'm not sure why, because my natural instinct is not to like or approve of his
dalliances
, (actually, that's the wrong word, but I've been looking for an excuse for ages to use it, so too bad), but he is - or was - an immense talent, & we don't see talent of that ilk so often in our lives, and being wholly selfish, I'd like to see him somewhere near his best again.
I watched just about the whole of Seve's career, & was blessed to be able to do so. Same in snooker, Davis, White, O'Sullivan, in horse racing, Piggott & the two Mercer's, in motor racing Moss & Senna, in darts Bristow, in athletics Daley Thompson, Tennis, McEnroe, & so on, in every other sport, we are blessed to watch these artisans.
The more the better, or less is more? Take your pick.
I was looking for a suitable Tiger photo as an endpiece for this, & struggled to find one - jeez, peeps do like to get stuck into someone who has gone off the rails, there are some really ugly photoshopping examples out there.

I think he would be a good punt to win the upcoming Masters.

The top price of 11/2 seems a trifle skinny to me.

Two Pandas – nicknamed “Sunshine” & “Sweetie” (sigh, why does everyone have to dumb things down these days?) arrived in Edinburgh Zoo over the weekend, apparently huge crowds were there to greet them. (“Hello Sunshine, how are you?”).
I’m not sure why, but I find this rather exciting, & I intend to go see them. Edinburgh Zoo is quite splendid, in every way, & given the constraints (whoops) of a Zoo, I think they do a fine job.
I could jump a train from London, stay overnight in ‘Ol Reeky, & return next day, probably cost the equivalent of 2 x DTD Monthly deepie entries. A no-brainer, these opportunities don’t come round so often. Am gonna do it.

Great idea, I presume you're going to wait until Dec 16th when they're actually on show to the public....

Doesn't sounds so dumbed down if you call them Tian Tian and Yang Guang though!
