Wiki Wiki Wheels and Miki Miki Motors great names back in the day. Only ordinary handicappers though.

Case rests, proven, sample size & all.
Seriously, horses like "Kris" were beautifully named, as was Mill Reef, Brigadier Gerard, Sharpen Up, & many many more.
Kybo & Super Kybo were both disagraceful exceptions of course. IIRC, they were owned by the chap who owned Fontwell - Isadore someone?

Well sort of, yes, because Kris was by "Sharpen Up", & I believe "Kris" was Greek or whatever for "dagger".
I think I watched everey single one of Kris's races. He was owned by Loid Howard de WAlden, who owned many fine horses, & Kris did his winning in 1978 & 1979, some 30+ years ago. His trainer? - Hency Cecil. How well has he stood the test of time?
I was a great fan of Henry's stepfather, too, Cecil-Boyd Rochfort, who was a wonderful trainer of stayers, & who wrote one of THE great turf books of all time.

Incoming e-Mail to me today from Ladbrokes.
Really tough to understand why their poker site is going down the pan at such as rapid rate of knots, eh?
Dear Tony Kendall,
Important Account Information
This has been sent to all customers as it contains important account information.
We recently wrote to you about an Administrative Fee which would be applied to your Ladbrokes account.
The Fee has now been taken from your account and was calculated as either £2 (or currency equivalent) or 5% of the balance on the date at which your account became inactive, whichever is greater. When calculating the charge, we have included balances from all wallets (including poker, casino etc). The Fee itself has been taken from the Sportsbook wallet and this may result in a negative balance if funds were held elsewhere.
If your account retains a total positive balance a further Fee will become due on the 1st day of every subsequent month.

Don't Party do the same thing?
It's blatant theft by my book.

They do.
It's their method of "winback", or "re-activation".
Level 1 psychology fail.

"re-activation" brilliant!
In this case "de-activation" imo.
Each Site has it's own USP........
"We take money out of your Account" is one of the more niche approaches.
