Thanks for the various answers. Cannot quote, am on I-pad at mo.

The sphericals in the treetops. Almost all the trees in, and near to, Bushy Park have these, and at first I assumed nests, but they are not nests. Will get a photo from nearer in the next few days.

The raven/rook, I used "continuous mode" for that, (from some 100 yards distant), an old army trick.

Rod got it, deffo mistletoe.

Can't do it, it comes out like this.

Quoting from I- pad btw, what problem do you have with it ?

Ah i see. You just need to push the page up before you type.

How? It will not "scroll up" for whatever reason.

Touch as though you were going to type, which sort of makes that bit live, then just push it up.

(ha, did you just manage it or are you on a different machine)

They do quite an array of meat, too.

1) Carving ham very thinly. Why so thin?

2) Venison limbs.

3) Bunny rabbits. (Look away now if you are a veggie).

he might be a grumpy old sod but Tony Kendall sure can photograph a good duck

I love ducks, I remember when i was like 6 (which was 17years ago before you chime in with some smart comment RED-DOG) i used to pester my Dad relentlessly to take me to feed the ducks every weekend, talking about it a few weeks ago with him my Dad went on a hilarious rampage about how much he couldn't stand ducks and how he used to tilt his face of on a weekend when I was running round the house demanding to be taken to see the ducks in valley gardens, and how he'd have feign excitement as i ran round throwing bread at them going absolutely ballistic.

He did a great job pretending as one of my strong memories of that age was feeding the ducks with my Dad, I can't believe he hated doing it! Parenthood sounds hard lol fair play to him for that!

Anyone know what those spherical "clumps" in the trees are?

Could be mistletoe.

seen it already.

Near water so could be Herons but as they are round and have roofs could be magpie's nests. Too far away to be sure

some sort of mountain goat Smiley

So you think you have a shit job?

In Covent Garden yesterday there were "street artists" galore, & this chap, or a tribute act to him, was also up by the London Eye last week.

A geezer sits on the cold pavement all day, under a big box with a hole in the top, through which he sticks his head, whilst wearing a dogs mask. Parents send their kids up to stroke him, he says "hello" in com dog speak, then the parent chucks 10p in the collection tin.

Talk about the job from hell. Sit on the pavement looking all day looking daft, mixing with the public, & kids. Ugh.

The old & the new - Southwark Cathedral, & the Shard, with the Cathedral gardens being used as an open-air eatery.

The Shard is amazing - from so many places in London, you can see the top of it. Lovely building, too, though unlikely to last as long as the Catherdral.

Greg Hill (aka "Junior", aka "Poker Girlie") just stuck a little staking thread up, & it jolted my memory.

Greg featured strongly (& was unlucky not to win) in the first ever blonde Live Update from a UK cardroom.

There was no internet, & I did the whole thing via text to a chap named Simon, aka "jbsc7769", who later moved to Greece, & got a decent job with 'Stars, & he uploaded it all, & also to Tom. Think I sent 700 texts in 3 days.

The date was Feb 2005, exactly 7 years ago.

One or two of those finalists have survived the passage of time, & bustoness, even though all are old, & thus utterly shite @ poker.

Acknowledgement to THM for the results. If you are really sick, the Live Update of the final is here.....
