In that shot of ''Jersey Red'', looks like he's playing a 'masse' shot, while looking up exactly how it got its name I found this diagram for 1893, cool eh.
Very!
Love all this olde-worlde pre-internet stuff.
Thanks.

I won't be playing the £500 Tony, but I'm a definite maybe for Sunday's £150.

If you can locate any photos of Jersey Red, I’d love to see them.
His “real” name was Jack Breit, which he had shortened from Jack Bretikopf, supposedly so his name would better fit onto the billboards advertising his appearances.
Surprised there is no Wiki page for him. In searching, I did find a “Jack Brett”, who was a motorcycle racer in the 50’s, & I’m surprised I had not heard of him, as I followed the sport intensively in my youth.
I think my memory card is full.

I will almost certainly be there on Sunday, Ralph, as I have a meet lined up with Rob & Nick, so I will bring it with me.

GREAT find, but before I view it, according to Dyer's book, Fats had a rep for telling porkies, & exaggerating his tales, I gather.

Minnesota Fats was rumoured to be Etta James' father, which is kinda icky as her mother was only 14 when she gave birth to Etta and Fats was 25...

Very - divide everything by 10 & you'll be nearly right. As you say, though, still worth a look & listen.
