Does the Japanese chap not compete anymore? He held all sorts of eating records at one time.
Yesterday's man.
You need to keep up to date with these things Simon. Do pay attention.
Firstly, you want MLE. (Major League Eating).
Then you want IFOCE. (International Federation of Competitive Eating).
Look, it's all here, the Eating Database (sort of Hot Dog HerbieMob), Tournaments, record holders, who puked most, & of course, the address of the MLE Fan Club, (Somalia Region).
http://www.ifoce.com/
I used to be the official bookmaker of the IFOCE and MLE. It was around the time of Kobayashi and I put him in at 1/6 every year and he won every year. I probably tell this story on blonde every year too but humour me it was probably the high point of my career.

Robbie f***********ing Williams, "rightfully so".
Perhaps that is short for having a new arsehole administered.
I despair, give up even.
I like to cater for my audience.
Tom's Diary is discussing how to boil a kettle today.

That is amzing!
The Official Bookmaker for the IFOCE & MLE. Including the Nathans Leg.
I can barely believe all this, it is like there is an alternative universe.
Take much money on it?

Yes we took good money. I did all kind of proposition bets like how many hot dogs each competitor would eat and did a bunch interviews in the media in the run up to it. One year we sponsored William "The Refridgerator" Perry into the competition. I think he managed five. Kobayashi who weighed about half what he did managed about 50!!! I can tell you it is all downhill from there........

For a split second, I thought that was a pic of Barry Carter.
My sincerest apologies Barry.

I changed it for a better photo, shows his arrogance better.

Here's Matt Stonie aka Megatoad. He's apparently ranked 6th in the world of competitive eating. A question and answer session, including some of the questions you genuinely wanted to ask:
And here he is doing what he loves. Michael Phelps apparently put a way this many calories on a training day for the Olympics. Can Megatoad scoff it all in one go?
The sight of his belly at the end is absolutely rank.

Just taken a visit from Tatty, wearing a spendidly July 4th-ish frock, & Jimmy Choo red jobbies.
That is Producer Dan with her.
17 attempts to rotate it all failed, so save the wiseguy comments, OK?

It seems the reason Kobyashi doesn't compete is because of a dispute over money.

It amuses me that they have a governing body for some daft reason.

That is my bemusement, too, it all seems a little serious for something so ridiculous.
Still, each to their own, & at least they have a governing body. Poker, take note, even these eater chaps have got themselves sorted.
