Best not tell Tom about the buffet.
I only mentioned it for his benefit.
Lost a bit with J-J, but the flop was kind to me really. Had raised UTG, two callers, A high flop. Check. The two guys ( both had A-Q) then went to war big time.
Got most of it back next hand in a 6 way limped pot (!) with A-9 which did a get.
Table nice and chatty now. A pleasant evening in prospect.

That's what he does.

I suspect the highlight will be a description of the upcoming buffet (8.20pm, free to ALL players....)
Wow! Does that include players who have traveled 200 miles and paid a £50 reg fee?

That background track always reminds me of "Sexy Beast".

Good luck, also subbed for the evening.

Nice table, quite chatty and friendly, but I upset one guy already.
I have the button, Foxy raises UTG, (atc merchant) he gets 5 callers. And I have K-J. On the button.
Seems a clear raise to me, so I did.
Everyone folds except one guy, in cut off, he calls.
Long story short, A-10 man, to my immediate right, decided to play his hand slow.
Flop is A-K-4
He checks, I bet, he calls.
Turn is the 5.
Rinse repeat.
River is the J, giving me 2 pair.
He checks gain. I bet again. He calls again. His A-10 is no good.
"Bet you don't teach them to raise with K-J when you are on the telly".
Some folks do get arsey when they lose a hand of poker.
I think my play there was standard. Lucky, of course, but just standard.
He is having a little sulky wulk now. He'll soon come round. When he wins a hand.
Was the turn bet a value bet or a bluff?

As played, I genuinely thought my hand was winning on the turn. It was not. It was on the river though.....
It would ask the chap in question, but he has sort of left the premises. He open jammed 9,300 at 100-200 with A-6 and it all ended rather badly for him.

Epic scenes just before the break.
Raised up with 10-10, Gentleman flats.
Flop K-K-9.
I bet.
He said "you must have the K".
He folds face up, showing his two Aces.
See what I mean about getting lucky?

Subscribed for the evening.
Ooh, I have a reader.
I suspect the highlight will be a description of the upcoming buffet (8.20pm, free to ALL players....), especially as we both have refined tastes and palates.
Meanwhile, Foxy just bluffed me off a winner, and I have been dribbling.
31,000.
109 entries, 93 remain.
Is this at the same Casino the Brighton Sky Poker Tour was at, the one where you won the Friday night side event?
If it is then I hope the food lives up to the same standard.
The only SPT I've been to where a full Sunday roast was presented with quality crockery, cutlery and cloth napkins. Proper fancy. Much better than the usual Curry, Curry of 'Effin Curry as someone once said (to his own horror).

One and the same Aaron, one and the same.
Tonight's fayre was roast chicken breast, roast potatoes, and cauliflower. I passed on the cauli.
Afters was panacetta (sp?).
No buffet nonsense either.
Take a seat at a table, with a crisp white tablecloth, and stainless steel cutlery, then a nice lady serves the food, piping hot. All very civilised.

I'm guessing your pudding was panna cotta. or pancetta, but that would be an odd choice.

It was like posh blancmange, white, with sort of red gooey sauce on top. It came with a fork, not a spoon. Pretty posh, huh?
