Sometimes when I'm typing, I accidentaly press the CAPS LOCK BUTTON, & DON'T NOTICE, THEN i HAVE TO RETYPE THE WHOLE THING.

Years ago, on my Amstrad WordStar Word Processor, I'm sure there was a button, or an F? Function, where I could paste over it, & as if by magic, it would convert it to lower-case.

Is there such a thing now, on Microsoft?

Tag team, like Raddison?

OK so i made a retarded pot size pre flop raise with Q2 been flat called and shoved by the big, its 11 to call i am jamming.

Retarded indeed. I was creating Table Image......

Seriously, I know it was daft, but as I said, I seem to "freeze" in the late stages of Comps, & I'd been stuck cardless on SZ's Table for a while, & fallen a bit behind the count. Three uncontested Raises would get me back to Average, & that was the Plan on my new table, before they sussed me.

I think a Plan B is called for.

Suggestions?

I am no MTT expert but I used (still do at times) suffer from totalling rocking up and blinding away. The major adjustment I have made mainly is reshoving light when i have fold equity. If i have 15-20bbs any loose opener or anyone i don't think will call me with a wide range, is getting my stack in their face regularly.

Chili sorted out my lappie the other night. Supposedly..... (Cooked me a wicked meal though, spaghetti & fish-stuff).

It was running slow, all sorts, & she said she'd "clean it up".

When I fired it up (the Lappie, not Chili) all these little boxes & menus would pop up, I just clicked them each time to get rid, but she has exterminated them all.

She spotted a little yellow icon in the bottom right hand corner, on that blue bar thing, & got all excited, apparently it signifies a Windows Update. Very important, says she.

Anyway, she opens it, & has now installed Internet Explorer (?) or Microsoft Windows Mark Seven I think.

And it's completely buggered me. My tabs all use to be at the bottom, I'd have dozens open at a time, but now they are at the bottom AND the top, & I can't work it out at all, & I have something called "Tabbed Browsing". Bloody hell.

But I showed her a short-cut to use google.

Also, a Computer Tip for you. There's a little "speaker" icon bottom right of the screen. If you click that, you can turn the sound up & down - or even off.

More Tips soon.

Thanks Longy.

To be fair, 15 to 20 BB's is a big stack to me - I'd sit-out for an hour if I had that many.

But yes, I hear ya.

Prepare to be "light reshoved" today at DTD.

Psst - what is a light reshove?

You'd do that with any two?

Given the right player, yes. I vary my range given how likely the player is to call etc. Thats where reads come into things, something Im pretty rubbish at unfortunately.

you can paste it into the window on this site and convert it then copy n paste it back, if you are using word or excel or something there are very simple ways of doing it.

or function + vol up/down.............

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life.
Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

There's an extension for Firefox that would do it to.

You should be able to switch the tabbed browsing off if you don't like it. I only use IE7 for testing though so no idea where the option is.

The most significant thing to occur in a MTT is a table move. It is a monumental event. As obvious as this may seem I think people struggle to psychologically adjust to the change. When you started the tournament no doubt you would have been "sussing" people out, avoiding major confrontation....and NOT raising blind. You take this approach because you are starting from square one. All the while you are creating a tight image...YOUR image...that you can trade on later....and raise blind.

Now it's later in the comp and you haven't played a hand in what seems like an age. This recent history coupled with your wider tight history in poker generally, means that you are the perfect ROCK in your mind. As such your raises MUST be respected....right? I mean SZ has been successful raising with any two. All these things are still being processed in your mind as you walk to your new table.

When you move tables forget it....forget everything. You are starting again. You are not SZ.

Now I know you know this Tony but it's worth a mention. Table Change = Deep Breath & Start again from scratch.

Quote
The new Table was a bit of a mystery to me, & me to them

If you raise without an established image you may well get looked up by A-J & A-7 because no-one likes a bully who lands at their table and starts trying to call the shots.....and this is exactly what you were doing. It's only the tournament baggage that you brought with you that tells you otherwise.

You may have a point Jim. As a result of your justifiable criticism I am going to attempt to improve the content of my posts by incorporating the word "retard" on a regular basis.
