Here's the payout structure, which as you can see, is fearfully flat at the bottom end.....

http://www.wsop.com/tournaments/payouts.asp?grid=1232&tid=14937

I know it's wrong, but I can't help but aim to cash first, it would keep us in profit (so far) & it's important that I try & get the stakers money back.

If I get into the money, & have 10-20 Bigs, I'll then try & gamble a bit more. Having said that, I can trundle along for ever in PLO, accidents notwithstanding, with 10 - 20 Bigs, so If I am still in when the bubble bursts, whilst I would like to open up a bit, I'm not sure I will, or can. I only know one way to play, & I don't really do much flair stuff.

Anyway, let's try & cash first, then take it from there.

I know it sounds a bit daft, but it would mean a whole lot to me to cash in this, especially after such a tough seat & table yesterday.

And there's a thing with people of my age - we desperately want to show we can still pay, or do stuff. And of course, we can't, we are never as good at nearly 70 as we were at 20, 30 or 40, but it becomes a bit of a chip on the shoulder to show we've not completely lost it.

70 is the new 60. Fact.

A friend of mine in his mid seventies, who has been an International bridge player for as long as I can remember, told me he was playing for The Welsh Seniors. I asked him why he didn't play for the full team any more, and if he wasn't as good as he used to be. He said he wasn't as good as when he was younger and I asked why given there is no physical side to Bridge. He said that it was all to do with concentration and that his concentration was nowhere near as good as it used to be.

Concentration goes with age.  I couldn't imagine playing three or four day events at 41 like I did at 33. I just don't have the patience to play poker at all any more.  I totally understand this and wonder how I ever sat for hours and days on end playing live mtts 8 years ago.  I couldn't imagine doing it at 70.  All the best tomorrow or today. I would love to see you win a bracelet would be right up there for UK poker with barney winning his for me.

Best wishes & run good vibes today to Natalie, Adam & Tal Bloke today.

All 3 on the Final Table, please.

All 3 of them have been very supportive to me out here, railing me (hardly exciting stuff), fetching me lattes etc. I hope they get their just rewards today.

Good luck, sir.

Between the four of us, must be odds on to win, right?

Tough to find out any info on any of my opponents...

Jesse Capps 53,600 17/1
Chris Moneymaker 87,700 17/2
Pascal Mailly 125,000 17/3
Darius Narmontas 88,300 17/4
Dan Stih 179,000 17/5
James Parker 161,100 17/6
Fernando Rosas 240,300 17/7
John Templeton 105,400 17/8
Simon Williams 61,200 17/9
Sterling Lopez 96,700 17/10

Think one won an MTT once. I'll just keep raising from the cut off. He's bound to keep folding, right?

Looks like a fun table. 925 left still, plus 4 levels of late entry in day 2. Start again in two hours.

Any day threes about?

Good luck Simon. Chris who?

Meanwhile, back at the WSOP, it's bubble time, and we are H4H.

Didn't realise it was the same event you were in Tal, GL!

Chris used to (possibly still does) play a lot of PLO cash games. I never had him marked as anything overly special though at PLO. He may well have improved dramatically in the time between then and now though.

Edit: I see it isn't the same event...
