30 minute dinner break now, during which late reg closes.

Gonna go take a walk to clear my head, & decide how best to play it from here.

Just to complicate things, WSOP $1,500 PLO runner-up and good pal Jeff Duval has joined my table, to my immediate right. That's both good and bad.

Thanks Vince. It all played itself, we just needed to hold. A pure double or bust situation.

Off we go.

75 of 121 remain, blinds are 300-600, average is 24,527.

Lot of 10 or 15 BB stacks around, they are gonna be chucking their chips around.

Proceed with caution, I think, plenty time yet, though we can't stand still, there are still 7 levels of play today.

Thanks Adz, let me know if you want another.

Quite a field, this, just spotted a proper blast from the past, Woody Deck.

Jeff Duval just flopped a set of kings, to beat Aces, but Aces man got there, and Jeff is busto.

Looks like Adam/Ben Vindon is history, too.

Falling thick and fast now.

I button raise with......

One caller.

It comes 2-5-9-K-7 to give me nut nut, and my man rivers a set of sevens with a bad low and calls me off.

SCOOPIO.

61,200.

Half the field are now busto, just 60 of 121 remain in Day 1A.

Another table just broke.

Need to put the iPad away for a bit and concentrate.

Level 8 just starting, 400-800, we have 64,000.

I am seat 1, seat 9, new to the table, just raised into me, and I have a half playable hand.

I could not see his stack, which was obscured by a drink bottle (his) so I asked to see his stack. He went abso apeshit, all abusive.

He has since raised every single hand, and is playing a similar stack to me.

This could get messy, can't sit and fold all night.

This must be the most boring update ever, nothing happening. Send for Tal.

You're doing fine, tikay.

Unlike me at Binion's, where I executed a perfect bluff, complete with coherent story and finished off nicely with NLP-rich table chat. Only problem was he had the hand I was representing.

Hate it when that happens.

Two Bromleys still in. Natch.

Structure, table conditions and general organisation would send the forumites apoplectic, but Binion's gonna Binion's, and ain't nothin' but nothin' gawn change that.
