Just as I had mellowed and realised its just a few pointless possessions and minimal hassle in the context of life's journey my luggage turns up at hotel !

Spoke to Virgin person 6pm uk time yesterday and they told me the bag had probably lost its tag as it hadnt been found since getting to London , they were going to check tag less bags manually and asked for more details like distinct things inside etc etc .   Meanwhile the bag must have been on the plane out here yesterday , good systems at work Virgin

Was told rough $80 a day allowance as a guide .  Managed to clock up a $320 bill within 24hours and was almost enjoying the prospect of gradually having a new wardrobe by the end of 2 weeks , possible leverage for upgrade on way back i guess

plo today peeps .  gl tony and doobs who seemed keen on playing it when spoke yesterday .

Still awaiting a sighting of tony in the gym on one of these 3 a day 3 mile walks of his I heard about .

I bumped into Ben Dobson last night, who leads the way with 3 left in the WSOP $1,500 Stud Hi-Low.

He told me that before his first WSOP cash this year, he was 0/24, including TEN bullets in Colossus.

I'm not sure of the logic, but it made me feel a little better.

Nah .  Bust about 15 off money .  Nothing exciting , use my luck earlier in the day.
Prob a good thing , was exhausted at 10:30pm bust so grand luxe for food and bed felt like a win too.

After some amateur dramatics by both of us, am certain he has the same straight and I am freerolling him with my nut hearts and I'm happy to get it all in for a 15,000 pot. He calls.

Flop 4 to the nut flush on 2-7-8, he check calls, ditto on 3 turn, but he gets there in the end with his 9-10-J-Q including Q-J of  my nut suit. Aargh.

Down to 5,500 after that from 7,500 starting. This is starting to hurt, Mother.

Have A-K-Q-10 4 way in a raised pot and flop the nuts with all the straight extensions but no spades on the 8-9-J flop and I lead out, 3 callers.

Turn brings the flush, river the pair up and I have to give up.

Then, in the blinds with

I want to build a pot here with the wrap and NFD and bet twice, but miss the chuffing lot and have to give up on the river.

Pretty sure the Gods of poker are having a laugh here.

After trying and failing to hit wheels all trip in PLO8 & Big O I finally hit one in PLO, but the Ace pairs on the end and I can't find another bet. He had A-K so would probably have called, too. Bleurgh.

Back above 4,000 at first break, but need to get a wriggle on and adopt a high risk line if I can find the right spot. 28 bigs on return, so it's pretty much raise or fold poker, can't be calling much now.
