An abrupt change of topic, but has domestic Politics, both in the USA & the UK, ever been more fascinating?
Every time Trump Tweeted or opened his mouth was a wow moment, & as much as I despised him, I eagerly read everything he Tweeted & listened to his speeches.
Ditto the compulsive liar Boris Johnson. I've never really followed Politics closely, but just felt compelled to watch & read as he wriggled & twisted his way out of corruption crisis after crisis, all of his own doing.
And just when you thought the "fun" was over, this Lady throws her hat in the ring.
I mean, can you even BEGIN to imagine how much "fun" it would be if she were Prime Minister, especially as she has her own squadron of photographers in tow every day. (Has any Politician ever posted her own photo on Twitter as many times as she has?).

I'm not sure if she's representing Eve or Newton here.
Eve Newton perhaps?
I keep seeing this one and think it was staged as part of a series of which Truss was just one of several women involved at the time. Not sure she even got much say in it. My memort is poor though (see above)

I mean, Politics never saw much of this sort of stuff pre-Twitter, did it?

Can you seriously say you did not have a little titter when you saw this? It's like a grown-up version of Doctors & Nurses, she is positively bursting with pride.
And I'm not at all convinced the military top brass would be impressed by that model-esque splayed left foot.

Am no fan of her, if my comment on the apples gave the wrong impression. Her only plus point seems to be that she isn't as big an arsehole as Suella Braverman. Replying to stuff about Covid, I am often tempted to put look I am an actuary I obviously understand this mortality stuff; but then you see Suella talking about legal matters and realise that experts understanding their field of expertise is not a given.
Anyway looking forward to the not an arsehole appealing to other arseholes candidate.

Ha, yeah, am actually looking forward to this Leadership Ballot thing, which is quite elongated.
As I said yesterday. I've never really followed Politics, but recently it's been unmissable & I'm busy F5ing BBC News all day.
Curious to see how many survive Round One, where 20 votes are needed if I understand it correctly.

Loved reading your Vegas updates, so much enthusiasm and love for playing, great to see when you've been in the game so long
Hope the Sky Poker Tour will make it back to Newcastle at some point, will donate and we can catch up.
Good luck with everything tikay <3

Someone we could all vote for

More importantly, where do you stand on the Matusow bluff/blow up? I can see how it could work as the small flush should probably fold when he 4 bet bluffs (who does that on rivers?), but that relies on an exact read for the 3 bet and relies on the small flush folding.
In spots like this where I have lots of chips, and it isn't many to call. I analyse the situation, curse myself for raising and sigh call anyway. I know I shouldn't, but that is seldom a barrier to the call.
FWIW It just looks like impatience to me, and think the people who have come out in support are reading too much in it. There has been some seriously aggro hands in this year's WSOP. Will see if any of them makes the FT before awarding poker god status.

Hey Tikay, do you remember Mr "best poker site in the World" from a few years ago. Well, he didn't get banned for running a couple of bitcoin poker sites with a less than stellar reputation, he got banned for this.

FWIW I have shared a table with Will Kassouf and didn't think he washalf as bad as people say. This guy was much worse.

Alex Bysouth
BBC Sport at St Andrews
Now, people like to scatter the ashes of their beloved at places they hold dear to them, so understandably the Old Course at St Andrews would be a prime spot for those relatives who had a love for golf.
As I was walking up the side of the 18th, one man took the opportunity to let what I believe must have been ashes into the burn. A tricky manoeuvre to pull off on the sly in the breeze, as the people standing next to him will tell you…
