Been in bed almost all day, was a little tired, but ventured downstairs to the poker room to see what cash games were running.
Found myself in an $8 - $16 Limit O8 game. Most of the seats were occupied by mature Philippino ladies, with the other seats occupied by elderly gentleman of which I was far & away the youngest.
Despite all that, it was lively, far more so than I expected.
I don't fully understand the maths of Limit betting, but I do know it can get awfully big awfully quickly.
What starts as a $4 call then gets 1/2/3/4/5 bet, & suddenly there's 6 or 7 of us in the pot & $120+ in the middle. And we've not seen a flop yet....
3 more rounds of betting follow, all raised until someone "shuts the gate" as Limit players say when the cap is reached, & suddenly there's serious money in the middle.
FWIW, $4 - $8 Limit is played exclusively with $1 chips (first image), while $8 - $16 is exclusively $2 chips (2nd image). Makes for some impressive looking stacks.

Ahh, bugger. I thought Moulty would get it, as I was his chauffeur for 2 days, drove him from Notts to Skeggy & back.
Hope it's not as bad as mine, which is not much better a week on.

The 2nd chip (Shawn Rice) looks a bit useful....

And I note he'd seated to my immediate right, with Nathan three seats to his right.

This is "2nd chip" Nathan Weisner. Quite a character.
Never played Nathan or the plo8 guy so no tips. Always seen Nathan hanging around big O type stuff though chatting to loads of people and I think I saw him on some 25/50 big O stream as part of a line up advertised though (didn’t watch it)
Keep those photos coming
Currently packing excitedly but also hate packing, good luck later today.
Thanks Champ, see you in a day or so. $1,000 Big O at Wynn on Monday presumably?
Fly Tuesday (booked b4 some of other schedules came out) so 1st event is WSOP 1500 limit O8 on Wednesday, can’t recall rest of schedule as haven’t put it on my phone yet but I think I only have 2 days off in the first 2 weeks when I might not play an mtt.

Ha, played with him a few times and have got no tips either. Just can't remember much about his play. Think he is pretty good mind.

Yes, I can read it but I can't Log In or post.
The Boss is hopeful it'll be fixed in a day or so, but it closes on Tuesday & will then disappear.

Great start to your trip whatever happens
