So basically a nit re-raises a MP raise to 2k with 5k back, his 3 bet range is almost exactly the same as his range for calling a 4 bet shove so its pretty clear the best play is to shove the AA pre, no?

Yes - but unlike Sicilian, you possess hindsight.

As I stated, he felt - maybe wrongly, maybe not - that his best chance of getting fully paid was to smooth my RR.

On almost ANY flop, he gets all my Chips. This flop was just particularly mischievious.

As we talked about in Brighton, the flop pass is right but he has to push it allin pre against Tikay here as it's clear he won't be passing.

Yeah i like the pass after the missclick pre

That's about the sum of it.

He could have shoved pre, & maybe, just maybe, I'd have let go of TT, A-K, & possibly J-J.

It's not hard to see his thinking. It just went wrong on a weird flop.

You re-raise AK JJ TT to pass there?

With the benefit of hindsight and who was making the re pop O/P the pre reshove is the optimum play... i have to reluctantly agree

However I like to mix up what i do with big pairs pre and have caught many overplaying there hand post.

for what its worth i had exactly the same scenario  12 out at APAT and re shoved a nit... and lost him when he finally folded JJ pre... if i smoothed that time  and it comes a sub Jack flop i get it all.

Any other flop and i get it all post... however i kicked myself as i didn't think the hand deep enough at the time.

I don't think Tikay leads with AK for the flopped nuts..think he lets me hang myself with C/R allin.

I also have redraws if he has flopped a set.. I think i was caught off guard a bit by the confident pot bet post  which would have yelled kings ( overpair and up and down )

WHat has this got to do with it though? There should be no need for a misplay post, thats the point.

You put you think he has a big hand and want full value. He only r/r here with nuts or nothing, AJ doesnt r/r etc. So the only reason you should be flatting is if you feel he is being mad with a hand like 89s etc etc...

You dont think this, therefore he has committed 2k of 7k with a premium hand which he WILL NOT be folding to a jam, regardless.
