Is playing 12 tables for rake really "playing poker" for a living?
I'll assume that's addressed to Byron.
But if it earms a good living, & is fun, then yes, why not? But if either answer is "no", then no......
didnt mean it disparagingly, i'm sure he earns good money but it must drive you mental, how much "poker" can you play running 12 tables.
If you enjoy of course why not, if you live for a living then the same, even if you're not enjoying it when you play live at least you're out, you mix with people etc but if you're not enjoying it then i imagine 12 tabling for rake can be soul destroying.
I was just thinking about how much that involves "playing poker" in the truest sense of the term, making reads, moves etc which is maybe why if you're not loving it time to maybe move up stakes and play less tables, might re-enthuse your love for the game.

When you & I were lads Geo, it was almost impossible to research this sort of thing. A visit to the Library was the only option, followed by endless hours flicking through the Indexes of book after book.
Do you think there is a downside to the google age and the instant access we all have to information.

I'm not sure how many of you will remember the story of when 77dave - Jim McShane - moved to Las Vegas, from Essex.
Those who do will remember the palaver of getting Sheridan across to America. Sheridan was Jim & Nancy's Cat, who was quite a character, who terrorised alsations & all sorts at Jim's pub before they went Stateside.
Sheridan developed tumours in the lung recently, & had to be put to sleep yesterday.
Nancy & Jim are devestated, Nancy is in absolute bits.
Thiis makes no sense unless you are a cat-lover, but I really feel for them.

I hope this is not construed as spam, but it's a true story, & had me gawping big-time.
On Monday of this week, a guy was playing slots on Sky Vegas, a game called, I gather, "Millionaire's Club". You must excuse my ignorance of the slot world, but all of this left me agog.
He was playing - wait for it -
a nine line, five reel progressive online slot game
. (What else?)
Players can play
from 10p up to £180 per spin
. They jest, surely? Eat your heart out you £1k Lobster Larry geeks.
Anyway, he scooped.
£1,547,415.18.
The world's gone mad. £1.5 mill on a Slot!

I had a personal note & invitation to do some "stuff" from the guy who runs the Partouche Poker Tour today, the one in Cannes where Flushy covered himself in, err, glory last year, & Spacefrog gave him the Rubdown of the Decade.
It began....
Hello Tony !
Hope you are doing well.
This year, we organize the second edition of Partouche Poker Tour. Our MAIN EVENT will take place from 30th of august to 5th of September, at the Palm Beach Casino in Cannes (French Riviera), France. With € 3, 000, 000 as guaranteed Prize Pool, the Partouche Poker Tour is becoming one of the most attractive tournament in Europe! Last year, the best world poker players took part in! (Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, Scotty Nguyen, Tiffany Michelle, Mizrachi Brothers...)
No mention of Flushy there? And could the author be spacefrog?

I'm equally naff at both Jim, & the Boy Kellett must be the only man on the Planet who does not have the balls to tell me to my face. I'm quite insulted. I expect to be abused by the kidz, it's my right.
