I had a visitor this afternoon.
He has a bit of a problem explaining to his Table that, in fact, he is NOT the Chip Leader in the $1k.
I'd just flash the bling.

Today, I lost my glasses. It's nothing short of a mini-disaster.
I have some reading glasses, but that's all they are good for.
Nightmare.
I'm trying to cope without them, but it's hit home just how bad my mincers have become.

Thanks J.
I tried to get 2 new pairs before I left the UK. I went to Boots, Fosse Park, where they have a big opticians set up. The girl was just awful. "Ooh, we are VERY busy. Could take 2 weeks - 3 even, hard to say".
I could have smacked her. Don't you just love folks who look for problems in life?
If she worked for me she would not work for me.

I had held out slim hopes of playing some poker today, & as I am officially "off" tomorrow (Sunday), I was looking for a 2 dayer, but that all went wrong, & it ended up as a normal "work" day.
No complaints, that's the gig. But tomorrow, except for a few hours writing, I'm free all day. The next 6 days will be non-stop long days, so I'm keen to get some playing time in tomorrow.
Does anyone know where the best ONE-DAYER is on Sunday, in Vegas?
Do the Bellagio still do the $340 jobbie at 2pm?
The Venetian advertises a Noon jobbie, as does Caesers, but I fancy both are superseded by Deep Stack Fessie 2 day jobbies.
Does the daily $200 at The Rio run tomorrow? I think they may all be cancelled, due to the July 4th celebrations.
Binions?
Failing all that, I guess I'll play the Caesars 7pm affair.
Thewy was teasing me today, he text me this morning, "come play The Venetian £325, I dare you"...... I was SOOO tempted! But the work has to be done first, & that's that.

You will just have to get a pair of them ready made ones that are in the shops now, if only to last until you come home.

Thanks Mo, I did exactly that. They are reading glasses, & work fine. It's "seeing glasses" that are a struggle. I really am struggling to see anything without bins.
We do almost all the Vegas filming outside, in blazing sunlight, so that's a prob too, as the light is so bright, I squint without my prescription shades. Guess I'll buy some non-prescription shades just to shierld my eyes & stop the "squinting" which looks so bad on camera.
We filmed a piece today, & my shades were tucked in the collar of my shirt. 5 minutes later, they'd disappeared. We watched the piece back, when it was uploaded, to see if it was OK, & there were my now-lost glasses, pfft!
How is Reece?
