Nice site:
http://www.tonykendall.co.uk/
When will you be expanding it?
Note that under the "Club Magazine, The Blower" icon, the various issues are described as.....
Latest
Penultimate
Antepenultimate.
I may be the only person ever to have used that word on a TV Poker Show. No idea where I got it from though.

I am in the very midst of what is probably a bog standard cold, the part when it starts to go down onto the chest, & feel dreadful.
I dare not rest, slow down, or take an afternoon nap, as I start feeling sorry for myself, & if I lie down for a few hours, I feel 10 times worse when I wake up.
Am doing the Show with LML tonight, & I find I need to be at my peak to perform even half well, & when I'm tired, I'm double shite. Despite lashings of Contac400, & Bennylin, I've barely slept for 3 nights now.
Bleurgh, colds, who's idea were they?
PS - Let me guess. "who's" is wrong? Can't be arsed today.

At 2.30 this afternoon, we had a Telecon to discuss Promotional activities for Christmas. Ugh.
As to 865, (which is, in effect, a Promotional arm of the cardroom) we decided not to have Shows on Xmas Day, Boxing Day, & New Years Day. It's fearfully expensive as to Crew Costs, (TV peeps are very odd peeps, a bit like poker peeps), & it just makes no commercial sense. Shame really, as I much prefer to work over Xmas, as it seem to make Xmas pass more quickly.
So we'll do some pre-record Xmas Specials, wearing Santa Outfits, with little Xmas trees, tinsley & bangley things everywhere. Excellent. Ish.
Then we moved on to Cardroom Promotional stuff. Special Tourneys, that sot of thing, Xmas Giveaways, xmas trees on the Home Page, ffs, aaarrgggh.
But then it really got bad. We did a thing last year where - & I can hardly bear to type the word -
Santa
- dropped onto various Cash & Tourney Tables, giving out random prizes, sometimes playing as "Sky-
Santa
" with a Bounty on their head. And there is a "Sky
Elf
", too. It was incredibly successful last year, & as much as I mock it, it ticked every promo box, including getting picked up left right & centre via google alerts. So, we shall do it again this Christmas. Good.
I just can't get my head round how 8 or 10 grown-ups can sit in a Room on a Telecon, as we did today, & use the words "santa" & "elf" seriously. Surely, we stop saying
Santa
when we reach the age of three, no?
Never mind, at least I've yet to become curmudgeonly.

No. I cannot begin to explain how abjectly bad I am at both.
Imagine one of Sofa's drawings - well they would be 100 times better than my best effort.
No matter how hard I try, my drawings look like something done by a 2 year old.
I think you can either draw, or you cannot.

I reckon that there's a good chance that you were still in short trousers when you became curmudgeonly.
I'm not sure that there is a word that describes your current temperament adequately.

I just asked her.
"Who?" she said. Truly.
She did say "what a shame Chompy was not there".
You can't make this stuff up.

I did learn a new word today, whilst LML was prepping for tonight's Show.
The convo had got to suitable clothing for the Show ("Green-Screen" does weird things), & cleavage. Yup, cleavage. Detail is important.
Anyway, it seems that to avoid certain situations,
popoutage
sort of, a trick called "tit-tape" is used.
Something new, every day.

Sigh. I run so bad. I knocked Richard out two weeks running, I bet if I get the hat trick next Monday I'll get to keep him. FML.

On the Internal Mail System, which covers all of the Sky Betting & Gaming Group, I saw a job advertised yesterday for, wait for it......
Solution Designer (IT).
Solution designer
The world has left me behind, I'm sure it has.
Sky - BIG Sky, not Bet - do a thing called "
Customer Closeness
", too.
It's not even half-correct use of our language, & yet once in the loop, you can never escape, & we all use the expressions, & our once wonderful language is ever more diluted.
I know the answer though. We can
design a solution
. Or as Tom might say, "sort it".
