Posed in a bedsheet and talked about the aphrodisiac effect of being in parliament
Did the wife of The Speaker ever do such a thing before?
How much trouble is she in now?
I've not read the story, but why would/should she be in trouble for something like that?
"It's a disgrace, a challenge to the dignity of Parliament" said one irate MP, as he dashed off to the partake in the oh-so-dignified Prime Minister's Question Time.

This piece about Man Utd & the Glazers was in yesterday's FT.
".......Red Football Shareholder passed resolutions on November 22 allowing new shares to be issued in the company in order to raise money to pay off the pik loans, plus the interest.
Two new shares were issued, one for £31.6m, the other for £217.5m. The money was used to buy two shares in the other United UK parent company, Red Football Joint Venture, where the pik loans were held, in order that the pik loans could be repaid.
All the Red Football Shareholder shares were owned by Red Football Ltd Partnership, a Glazer holding company for the club registered in Nevada.
The Companies House filing, revealed on Wednesday, showed that the Red Football Ltd Partnership shares have been transferred to a company called Red Football LLC.....".
All clear on that, then?

lol do we know who said MP was?
Seems totally harmless to me, maybe good PR even. Would they rather the papers were full of stories about bogus expenses claims or being caught on clapham common in the middle of the night?

Ogh yes, of course. As all shite newspaper articles would say "a leading MP, who preferred not to be named, said.....". In other words, they made it up.
Still, it's quite something for The Speakers Wife to be so risque.
I could never imagine Betty Boothroyd doing it.

what exactly do you want to know?
a standard stochastic model relating chance occurrences to the real world, imo, though the move from 100% to 99% probability in terms of numbers of people requred is strangely vast

What's to explain?
It's all there on the page for which you provided the link.
It's an often quoted mathematical "problem".

That was pretty much what I thought, but I couldn't think of exactly the right words to post.
