can you reply to pm when you have a chance please
I reply to all PM's, Patrick, but there's a bit of a backlog at the moment.
And yes, of course, but it takes a great deal of searching to locate that single Thread you requested, as it was over a year ago, I believe. You never mentioned the reason you needed it, was it something specific you needed? If you have a single question about it, I may be able to answer it more quickly.
While you are on, is new blonde Member GTW84 a pal of yours?

No - it feeds into this coming Sunday's Semi-Final ONLY.
Tonight will be a tough Q-F though - Sicilian is in it. He's so good he almost won an SPT Satellite, it took Vinni to keep him out of the seat. That's quality form.

Why aren't there more Q-F's and S-F's?!
Some Turbo ones etc etc would just get more seats awarded to the biggie stuff!

Sigh, had a free night tonight so was going to play but I'm going to be busy winning UKIPT so couldn't play the semi. It would be good if you could get a ticket to play any semi, nevermind.

They are designed specifically to best encourage demand, "cover" themselves, without having to cancel them due to lack of runners.
Currently, there are 7 or 8 daily Satellites to the Q-F's, a daily Quarter-final, a weekly Semi-Final, & a Monthly Final. That's delivering us the optimum sized fields, with 2 x £10k packages, or 1 x £10k package & a big chunk of change, every month. We plan to take between 8 & 10 players to Vegas this year, (we try to take 2 more than the prev year each year) & logistics, budgets & personnel are all tied to that. More, & it causes us staff resource issues, less, & we are not cost-efficient.
We also need to balance liquidity, & demand for other Satellite programmes to Live Events currently in train. We also run SPT Sats - these tend to max out within about a week - & are soon to announce, permissions permitting & fingers crossed, a Satellite Programme to another, "senior" Live Tour, quite an ambitious target for us. Some other satellite stuff for a new series of (relatively) big Televised Cash Games is in the pipeline, too, as mentioned in yesterday's Racing Post.
All these things need to be balanced between each other. Every time you add or remove something from a Tourney or Satellite schedule, it has a counter-effect on something else, & it's slightly more of a balancing act than you may imagine. We also need to try not to "stretch" our players bankrolls more than is sustainable, &, obviously, to a certain degree, we want to keep money on the Site, rather than deliver it elsewhere, for obvious reasons.

Good news about more new stuff!!!
Not a dig in anyway, just hard to sometimes be around for a Sunday evening so would be good if there was more than one day where you could sat into the 1k.

Sorry about that Ray, but that's the way they are currently geared, & there are a bunch of reasons why we need to hold firm on that for a while.
Anyway, go bink that UKIPT beauty on Monday. Good luck.

Fully understood, & I was glad for the chance to explain the logic, or, as some might suggest, lack of logic.
I'm not exactly naive as to business affairs & stuff, but seeing the other side of a growing Online Gaming Company as I now do has been a revelation to me - it's hugely complex to keep it all "in balance", & fascinating, too, the Platform as a whole does the most extraordinary things, as do all mixed game platforms I expect.
Someone said yesterday "why does it take so long to change things?". But every change has a knock-on effect somewhere along the line. Stuff is scheduled at certain times for strategic or tactical reasons, not just because it's the "best time". You must come along to the office one day & I'll show you a few things. I promise, you'll never look at an Online gaming Site in the same way, ever again.
You must have noticed how much busier the site is than this time 6 months ago, or a year ago? It's all coming together nicely. Sometimes......

I'll just have to take you on instead.
Have you decided if you're going to play UKIPT yet ? You know it makes sense.

Is Stowell's your favourite box of wine?
A dear friend of my late mother used to swear by it.

Wine? You jest. I expect I'm being whooshed.
But if I did like wine, then yes, Stowells was a lovely trade name, off-licences galore, (they call them "beer-off" up North) very much of the age, & I'm sure I'd trust it.
Now explain the question, please.....
PS - LOVING "Members Only", the Paul Raymond book, proper page-turner, keeps me up for hours at night. I'll have finished it by tomorrow.
