Couldn't agree more tony! I was involved in the construction of riverside retail park in Norwich which involved fortnightly 8am meetings (I lived in twickenham). The meetings finished at 2, on a Friday, when I then enjoyed the delights of the m25 on the way home! Ug!

It is the town that never arrives. Another hour passes and it always feels like you have an hour to go!

Here's the Norwich Union - sorry, AVIVA - Head Office, in Norwich.

I like Aviva, they pay my bills!

It's such a shame he's so bloody old - he's 65 this year

This is 2012 ffs. 65 isn't old any more, it's the new middle age.

I don't feel old Tom, my mind is still sharp, my energy levels are still pretty high, & all the bits & pieces still seem to work, after a fashion, but I'm like an old car, the bodywork is showing distinct signs of wear & tear. Might struggle with the MOT.

That's the thing. If your body was your car, you would look after it better.

Damn you Tom, that caused me to be SO owned.

My Boss - The Head of Poker, @ SkyPoker - he's 12 - spotted your retort, & IM'd me "has he seen the state of your car?".....

Outrageous slurrage.

My car is now spick & span, as the new base in London means I no longer "live" in the car.

Nice frontpage layout/juxtaposition/sub-editing

Yup, pretty impressive juxtaposition there. Only The Guardian could manage that. Unintentionally.

Were it not for Miss Coren's splendid but sadly infrequent articles, I'd demand that it be summarily closed down, she is its sole redeeming feature, but my oh my, she makes it worthwhile. In every pile of poo there lurks a shiny diamond.

Do you subscribe Online to it?

I think I may take an Online Times sub, actually, it's so good.

The Guardian Online is very good, I find

The Times? I wouldn't know as its behind a paywall. A strategy they persist with when one can get a variety of other news content elsewhere both online and in print completely for free. Though I accept their content (particularly op-ed was excellent) is reputedly well above average

I don't think I have bought a hard copy newspaper for at least 4 years.

Great timing as ever Teeks - they've axed her column (and the other Games ones) and the last one was last week.

That is not actually the Aviva head office, their head offices are in York, lovely building it is too.

I used to work there during the 'Quote Me Happy' era, hated the job but they were a very good employer, good benefits n that. They also had a free coffee machine that dispensed this lovely chocomilk stuff.

The Chocomilk makes all the difference, Dave.

Is this the building to which you refer?

That is one of two of the big uns yes. Not great from the outside but brilliant on the inside. I worked in a dump of a place in Sheffield and it was always a 'treat' to go to York.

Sigh, king of the boks strikes again.

I hope she gets signed up by another periodical, writers of her talent are far & few between.

Why all the love for Tesco?

Scumbag company. Hope they rot in Hades.

why?

I'd also like to know why to this. I have always been a big advocate of Tesco (lately they have not seemed as great) so intrigued why they could cause so much Camel hate.

"Tesco-Hate" is the modern thing, Dave. There's no rhyme or reason to it, apart from the fact they are so successful. Some spotty kid probably said it on 2+2, & hey presto, off you go, it must be true.

According to my sources, camels get bad tempered if you allow them to become sexually frustrated.
