Behave, it's gone viral already. Probably only because anyone can just edit it & have it feature themself, just by typing their name into the little box on the right hand side.
Careful though, there are some gullible souls around......

That is well & truly laying the ghost of Jeffrey Pollack.

Happy Anniversary Tikay.
7 Years today since you decided to become a Blonde.
Amazing, but geeky spot, that, Jim.
Yes, 29th January 2005 was the day the Forum began.
Amongst those who signed up that day, and remain active on blonde to this day, were Karabiner, bookiebasher, bobby1, NewportLad, I KNOW IT, luckyblind, Nick Whiten (now at DTD), & byronicacid.
I was in Copenhagen, at the EPT, & I did my first, impromptu, Live Update. Lots of stories around it, in fact, I might just bore everyone to death & tell them, too, but special mention of Joe Beevers who was so helpful to me that day. We have remained very good friends, often working together, since then, though we had a bit of a tiff & a separation during the P4C thing. That was inevitable, as we were opposite sides of a very tricky & uncomfortable fence, but we are as cool as cucumbers (an odd expression) these days, & I saw him quite recently, socially. He has been helpful & supportive to blonde throughout.
I really wish I had the time to write more, as I could pen so many stories which started that day.
Interesting (perhaps….) to see the top four finishers in that particular Season 1 EPT.
1st – Noah Boaken
2nd – Ram Vaswani
3rd – Charalambos Xanthos (aka Bambos)
4th - Thewy
156 runners, & $190k up top, with $30k to 4th.
My, how the EPT has grown, & how poker has changed. Thewy, meanwhile, is still getting the job done, with three tidy Live Comps won in the last 9 months from a pretty small sample.

I left home @ 5am this morning, & it was -5c, & very "raw", so I was surprised to see a complete absence of frost. Yeah yeah, relative humidity, wind temp & direction, da de da, but the weather system is stable, & the frost was well thick @ the same time yesterday.
I did a bit of research, the answer was pretty much as expected, but what did interest was the number of different varieties of frost, & their cause. RedsGirl will be truly fascinated, as will the well-known poker commentator Vinni.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frost
The prettiest of all frosts, by a country mile, imo, is "Hoar Frost", which forms everywhere, but particularly on trees. Always worth a stand & stare jobbie.

Fantastic, almost perfect in every way, Phil, though it would have been the icing on the cake if you had been there to see our boy take it down.
Full report to follow (look away), but I have to dash now, lots of incredible stuff happening today, & this week generally. You really did start something giving Thewy that Pro deal, & me the TV thing, with Wm Hill back in 2004.
Later.

I can remember that event in Holland Tony, Thewwy and Xuyen had made the final table in Dublin the event before that too. I just took a look at the results from that first season you are right the payout structures seem so small now.
It has to be said that John Duthie did some job creating that tour and turning it into something special.

Didn't know I shared my birthday with Blonde. Weirdly enough, I played my first hand of live poker on my 30th birthday, in Vegas with a gf of the time who took me there for a once in a lifetime trip (lol), that was on 29th January 2005. What a great day for poker that really was
