I nearly did this morning, Tom.
Just wanted peace & quiet, & half hour alone, a bit of solitude.
Went for brekkie, feeling pretty rough (Grump-O-Meter on red), & three chaps - "poker friends/acquaintances" of a sort - plonked themselves down at my table, & guess what they then did?
Started talking to me.
Unbelievable.
Weren't there any kids about you could have gone and patted on the head instead?

I did think that when I saw the giant concrete foundation stone/block/slab
*
but it's still pretty impressive.
* I'm sure tikay will correct me for referring to concrere incorrectly.

I recommend you read the PHA thread called 'should I empty the clip' Tony. Your Yoof corry has just explained his rationale using a picture of a pie.
It really is pie level thinking.
Lildave diary please!

Thanks for that Phil, I would never have seen it otherwise.
It was one of those threads way above my head, where my eyes were bleeding by Page 2.
He really does have a way sometimes of explaining things well, in a sort of left-field or MANTIS way, which even I can understand.
The thread is a beaut, bit high-level for me, but the pie hooked me, & explained it so well. Would appeal to Vinni now, too.
Explaining "equity" in a particular spot, he says....
Think of it like a pie.
You a your friend co-own a pie. Lets say it's an apple pie.
Now you're entitled to 65% of this pie and your friend is entitled to 35%, however because you dont live in the same house
you dont actually EAT 65% of the pie ever, you get to eat the whole pie 65% of the time and none of the pie 35% of the time. However because you are greedy on one time you decided to risk one of your turns to eat the pie so you could eat the pie on his turn once, therefore you'll actually be eating the pie MORE than 65% of the time, which is more pie than you are entitled to.
The thread is here......well worth a look.

It's a flawed analogy. I always get more pie than I'm entitled to, and I'm crap at poker.

RSQ Q's are up
Do the job properly then Guy, stick a link up!
PS - For those not familiar with RSQ's, they are farcical, & traditioinally everyone abuses the Quizmaster.
What better opportunity can you get to abuse "outrageous76"?
Get stuck in, imo. It's free to enter.

Way way behind here.
Had a bit of a heavy week last week, what with this & that, plus 2 or 3 gruelling days up at Walsall, where we made a little 30 minute TV Show, I did a Live Update for next door, & hosted no less than 10 players. Good fun, but left me quite fatigued.
Drove home from Walsall to London at about midnight on Saturday, was at work in the office @ 9am Sunday, then, stupidly, could not resist going up to Luton on Sunday night for the DC.
Promised myself I would not stay late, gg that, left there @ 2am, not in bed until 3am, up @ 5am Monday.
Glad I went, though, turned a very pleasant profit (just ran good basically), & was able to have a few minutes with George, who has been getting a pasting on blonde recently. He's a good man, & does not deserve to be given such a hard time.
I sort of ran out of fuel last night (me, not the car) & collapsed into bed @ 8pm. I love going to bed when really tired, gives a wonderful feeling of satisfaction for some reason that every last bit of energy has been used.
I will catch up with the replies soonest, apologies for the delay.

Have to mention the Diet. Well I did say just once a week, on a Monday.
Went tremendously well. Pre-diet I weighed myself on 3 different sets of scales, & confirmed I was a 14 stone lump of podge.
Dieting whilst away from home, as I was up in Walsall is a bit difficult for me, as I have a very limited range of stuff I eat, but I managed.
I expect to drop 4lbs or 5lbs in week one, always, especially as I drink much much less when dieting, so 13st 8lbs was a bit of a surprise, albeit I never believed it - I assumed "scale variance", but subsequent weighs seem to prove it.
So, up & running, & the easiest week of any diet has been successfully negotiated, & a very good start made.
I challenged myself to lose a stone by April 28th, & I think it will be a doddle, dodgy scales or not.
It's where I go after that I have yet to decide - I think I'll head for 12 stone by mid June.
I have not had 100% confirmation yet if next door are sending me, a few hints have been dropped, but I prefer not to believe it until they confirm. Even if they don't send me, I think I'll go for a few weeks, just before the WSOP Main, I loved it last year.
Our first Viva Las Vegas is this Sunday, as it happens, fingers crossed at least 2 x £10,000 packages will be won.
More & more, I love WSOP time.
