Do it tomorrow in good light.

I just did it before I read that and it's a bit blurry almost looks like someone we know might have taken it.

My dad's the one on the left of centre.

This is a bit complicated but might give a sharper image:

Take a few seconds video of the photo

Run it on your computer till you find a sharp image - then pause

Take a screen print

Open Paint (in accessories)

click the "paste" icon in the top left hand corner

then save

That sounds like an excellent idea Dave but unfortunately well beyond my techno-skillz.

Wow, thought it was you. Not sure if you watched any of the Show, but I mentioned you several times, but I was not certain that it was "you", & I have to be so careful with mixing peeps up, the "wronged" ones get ever so cross.

Nice result, £400, well done.

The winner got, I think, about £7,000, his online alias was "Puggy82", & it was only his 2nd ever Tourney on Sky Poker. A bit of googling soon suggested that he is pretty handy, too, a Scottish lad who I know vaguely, with some decent Online cashes.

I did some "budget" You Tube Promo videos for the event last week, & teasingly said "everyone says the site is soft, so why don't you walk the walk, & prove it?" sorta thing. And so he did, lol.

Matt Bates ("Magic" on here), who came to Vegas with me this year, played wonderfully, & ended up 2nd for £4,000+.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. There is no other reason us recreationals play other than to have a bit of fun, but way too many take themselves & the game way too seriously, level themselves, & completely miss the point.

Funny you should mention this Smashed. My friend created tracking software for Sky, or at least adapted HEM to it, and began to sell it. Sky Poker banned him from the site i believe, and possibly threatened him with further action if he continued to sell. Were you aware of this Tikay?

Yer on a roll this week Herbie!

I'm glad Sky doesn't allow HEM or any of that stuff and wish more sites were the same.  Quite like the idea of a level playing field for everyone at the table.  Good old fashioned note taking FTW.

I only found out that sites could block hem the other week when chatting with Mr Yong at Dtd and he said Boss media are on the process of doing it. Just assumed sky would have it with the calibre of beaneh , Ryan and Redmond playing there.

Sky didn't block it.

HEM just doesn't work with the Sky software because the format of the hand histories generated on Sky is different to most other sites and there aren't enough players that want it for HEM to make the necessary adjustments to make HEM compatible with the site.

If the sites really wanted to block tracking software, they could do it tomorrow. Pokerstars has a list of illegal software and it detects when this software is being run alongside the poker client. At the moment you get an automated email warning from security. They used to do this with sharkscope before they threatened legal action and sharkscope agreed to require players to opt-in for their stats to be shown. It would take seconds to make a change so that players running HEM/PokerTracker can't log in. They're just smart enough to know that the rake that they would drive away (especially in Europe, where there are loads of sits to choose from) isn't even close to the rake generated by players that would play there if trackers were banned, but wouldn't currently.

The model of a poker site with no pros has been tried. Cool Hand Poker on the Microgaming network are doing this. Ever heard of them? Probably not.

Boss taking steps to block tracking software is pretty comical. Its not like they are in any sort of market position to be able to dictate this sort of stuff. The high raking regs will just play elsewhere.

edit: Didn't want to clutter thread and get first post on page 2000.

Link is dead because SkyPoker banned the creator and threatened to ban any users, preventing him from selling it. Obv fair play with HEM not being configured for Sky, just thought it was interesting they prevented a HUD from being used, and banned the creator.

Download link is dead. I've known about HUDs being possible on Sky but didn't know that this was public information until now, but my point was that HEM as is, doesn't work with Sky and HEM have no desire to make the necessary adjustments to make the program available on Sky. The existence of a third party mod doesn't change that.
