You got the chap, yes.

Those little daily jobbies at Golden Nugget & Binions are perfect, honestly, I could sit & play them back to back & be perfectly happy, & not at all out of my depth. $200 & $400 a throw is not so bad, even if I ran really badly.
Would I make a profit? Just depends how well I ran. Last year I ran obscenely well, so maybe it will tip the other way this year.
I want to play a couple of the WSOP PLO8 Events too, there are two x $1,500 & 1 x $3,000 if I happen to run well.
I think that Nugget Cardroom is much underestimated. I really took to it last year. And in the Breaks, I can escape the "bad beat break stories" & go for a wander down Fremont Street. On the Strip, when we play at, say, Caesars, Venetian, or The Rio, there is no escape, & I really can't bear it.
So I had.......and the flop came........and I pot it......and guess what he called me with? There is only so much you can convey via body language, but some folks just can't read it, & nothing on earth will stop them telling their tale of woe. The weird thing is, it does not occur to them that we know the ending.
Shame you won't be at DTD this weekend, so many mates are going to be there. I'm not going to be playing, so I'll doubtless be bad-beat story target # 1. I'll send them across to Gosney I think.
Thought I had, he was a nice bloke and he made the final with Mitch too iirc.
I'd have liked to get involved, but it's a bit out of my ballpark and a very long drive too. No doubt it will be great fun though, and hopefully some Blondes will clean up!
They're perfect for me too and 1/2 a dozen tournaments comes to about £1k. I'll probably sell a bit to the $1k main events if I decide to give those a spin too, and it's not the end of the world if the trip isn't profitable that way.
All you can do is turn up, put your money down and give it a spin... Hopefully lady luck knows what she should be doing. A couple of our lads will be playing the WSOP $1.5k O8 and maybe the $3k too. You won/chopped? the Omaha at the Nugget with one of them last year actually, just before I got there and he was telling me about it when I got to Vegas.
I prefer playing downtown, get some proper characters in those games and it's all good fun. I prefer to stay away from the biggest headphone competitions, and the 'who can be the most antisocial' last longer bet is another coup I always end up in the middle of

It's definitely handy having everything so close together, you can almost have a pub crawl UK style on Fremont street and it would take too much walking to do it on the strip. Also Starbucks is always close at hand, and you have a choice of 2 in the one hotel too!!
I booked it myself last year at Xmas, but then half a dozen guys from KK booked the Nugget as well for around the same time. We made one of the bars in there our homebase, and had a really good time down there. It actually snowballed because of the live reports from that trip, as of now there are about 30 I think from our forum all flying out the last week in June. Some are only doing a week, a few 2 and everyone is staying at the Nugget, so that should be quite interesting!
As for the badbeat crew, if it makes them feel better just let them crack on with their tales of woe whilst smiling... I'm unfortunate that I can't make a quick getaway myself, but the toilets are always close at hand if it's so bad I need to make an exit

Should be great fun for sure and it's probably best for the liver that I'm not there if nothing else!
