Indeed, excellent stuff here and I'm pretty sure I'll be playing the ME next year all things being equal.
Nice run too sir.
Now you can finally answer those PMs...

The
wildfire
near Las Vegas continues to burn, & increase in size, it now covers 25,000 acres.
Las Vegas TV News channels are now warning people "
beware, smoke may start drifting across the Strip
". What suffering we Vegas Tourists experience. Shocking.

This morning,
perchance
(copyright, Hamlet), I found myself, for work reasons, at the splendid Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas.
It is magnificent, sitting in that new glass & aluminium part of Vegas constructed in the last 5 or 6 years, & which includes Aria. Aria might just be easier on the eye than Wynn & Encore, upon reflection.
To assemble such a huge plot of land in the middle of Las Vegas must have been a monumental task. The build quality is superb, too, though it is a little cold & lacking in feel, heart, soul, & character.
That apart, though, it is truly magnificent.
Except......

THIS monstrosity mars the view from the Vdara Lobby.
I enquired of the
concierge
, "what the hell is that?"
It's a sculpture, Sir, you know, art.
What?
It's a bunch of canoes.
What WERE they thinking?

Stayed at Vdara two years ago. Its awesome and chilled. No casino in it at all just spas and cafes and a great feel. That sculpture did catch my eye. Bet Thewy likes it... Might even be one of his old canoes in that lot

Correct.
A hotel in Vegas where there are no table games, poker or slots.
If nothing else, different.
Roughly how much per night for a room, do you recall?

Probably sick of people with boats.
