Nailed it, of course. Rowland Cagney.

Fun to think a dance troupe needs to replace a member who has gone off to become Clark Gable and recruits James Cagney. You just never know who someone might turn out to be, do you?

Have been on a wiki tour today and ended up here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_works

Don't think I've heard of any of this before, beyond the phrase itself.

That SR-71 was a funny looking thing, wasn't it?

James Cagney must have been the hardest interviewee ever as far a chat-shows go, he must have been incredibly shy in real life..

I think it was Parkinson in his heyday who could only extract monosyllabic answers form him for the whole ten minutes or so that they had the stage to themselves.

The Meg Ryan one gets trotted out a lot, but Robert Mitchum was a pretty tough opponent.

Another one of the time lapse geography/history vids. Quite amazing - big mistake invading Russia, and with the massive successes of the Russians, you can see how the D-Day landings got a foothold.

Learned a new word today: ecdysiast

Won't tell you what it is, but I learned about it the safe way.

This is a new one on me too.  And having found out what it means, probably one I should have heard about long before now!  Having said that, I would bet that the minority of people in the profession would know what it meant, but I will leave the extent of just how small to your imagination.

It's like the word onanist. Doesn't mean what you'd think, making it an excellent insult.

Am just playing a game of Bastard Brag with the chaps down the Legion. None of that Deepstack palaver this month Smiley

I always thought onanist was someone who massages ones sausage. Am I mistaken?

That actually somehow sounds more disgusting. Impressive.

That was a daft show. Corporal Miokis I seem to remember was the nasty one.

Good news is I'm no longer playing Bastard Brag. Stupid game. 8 high flush no good four handed apparently Roll Eyes

Bad beat stories are ok when not in poker, right?

Suppose I could have led with 'bugger off back to Birmingham' as well.  Having a mare tonight, FML.  I blame the medication.
