Oh Dear God. Talk about scraping the barrel.

Next up, someone will make a film about New York being swept away in a flood or somesuch.

That Sci Fi channel has a lot to answer for. Although it did bring us Megashark v Giant Octopus, which proved to the world you can make a CGI disaster movie for less than a family shop at Lidl. The sequels and spin offs were poor variations on the theme.

Quiz Time

I google imaged an everyday expression, which everyone has heard of, but due to one of those weird quirks of google Images, this came up.

What is happening here?

Is it something to do with "downward spiral"?

Was reading a book last night, it was Business stuff, but it quoted this expression, which really struck a chord. It sounds almost Biblical.

The exalted will be humbled, & the humble will be exalted

The Biblical equivalent would likely be "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth"

Maybe, but in current usage, surely "meek" & "humble" (or humility) are different things?

Surely, these days, to be seen to be meek implies weakness of personality or character? I know that is not the true meaning (or I do now.....), but most of us equate meekness to weakness, surely?

Whereas, surely, humility is a plus, usually seen as an admirable trait?
