How did Colin Montgomery get so old so fast? It only seems like the other day that he was just starting out .

Ha!

He was a VERY good golfer in his day.

Must be worth a fortune, too, he's very shrewd with money.

His ageing may have been aided & abetted by his serial philandering, he's had quite a time with the ladies I gather.

He gives them a good time, too.

I should add, it's entirely possible I slept badly last night, & exited the bed on the wrong side.

OK, gonna watch some of this crap now.

He looks like a big, squishy, marshmallow of a bloke, but I wouldn't like to be in the way of something he wants. I bet he's ruthless almost to the point of sociopathy. (Is that even a word?)

Their Captain, Tom Watson, is the man I admire more than any golfer, any time, ever.

Greatest ambassador golf ever had, bar none.

So I shall be hoping that the USA win, for him. Her Queen-ness, she of the purr, should Sir or Lord him.

Just a bit.

I do admire his success & talent. Just don't think he is commentator material.

Give me this man, all day & twice on Sundays. He gets it just right.

I could watch golf just to listen to him.

No thanks.....

I steer clear of posting on threads like that, & the Indyref thread.

Path of least resistance these days, me.

I've still got fire in my adequate belly, & can throw a major strop on occasion, as I did earlier this week in a Meeting, but nah, not on forums.

We should also mention this fella:

Now, if this is the time every two years that you go and live in a cave on Mars with your fingers in your ears, you’ll probably only have something in the back of your mind telling you that this chap loves the Ryder Cup.

He loves it.

No. Not like I love cheese on toast or This Old Heart by the Four Tops. Not like Joan Jett loves rock and roll. Not like America loved Lucille Ball in the 1950s. Not even like a fat kid loves cake (thank you, Fiddy...).

He absolutely LOVES the Ryder Cup. He has Ryder Cup wallpaper at home throughout his house (well, tiles in the bathroom, but they have Ryder Cups on them), he keeps a picture of it in his wallet at all times, his Audi A4 (he is a golfist, so we can assume he has one) has a Ryder Cup dangling from the rear view mirror as an air freshener, he adopted Shaun Ryder last year, just in case he was related, his internet history is entirely comprised of pictures and videos of the Ryder Cup, including his favourite, with it wearing a green jacket and burgundy velvet trousers, his two children are named...you guessed it.

Go on, Ian, show us how much you love the Ryder Cup

Don’t be shy. Go on.

No, you love it more than that. Come on

COME ONNN!!!!

Attaboy.

Anyway, I thought I’d just mention it, as it might not get picked up on commentary that he loves the Ryder Cup.

He's also a complete and utter arsenal fan, so I hope he's disappointed tomorrow night, albeit not on the golf course.

Won't see much of it this year, which is a shame as I do enjoy team events in solo sports. Not sure why they capture the public, but they do.

Really interesting piece by my good mate, Barry Carter.

Barry is something of a "poker voice of reason" these days, almost an Elder Stateman of the game. Shame he can't play it unless ratarsed.

As do I really, but I can't resist the odd prod on occasion if there is no sport on TV...

Think the last strop I threw, was at the manager of Dominos a few months back. They messed my pizza up, despite it being the same as the previous dozen orders.

I reserve them for the serious stuff nowadays, see Wink

I should add that I am a big Ian Poulter fan, it's not his fault everything is so hyped.

He is enormously wealthy, too, likes his swanky supercars, & has a nice little home in the USA these days.

The boy did proper good. Really pleased for him, too.

I love Poulter, and I'm not even that big a Golf fan.

Can't knock someone getting the lot after devoting their life to something.
