Nugget want to cease play for the day and return at noon tomorrow.

The problem there is that most of us - but not all of us - want to play the WSOP $1,500 PLO8 which commences at noon.

Bit of a bummer, that.

Play is due to re-commence here at noon, too.

Should have put it on the cardroom staff, and said you wanted to start at 9, so you could get it done in time for the WSOP event.

Mate of mine is on the final with you, and he's playing the $1500, too.

Good luck!

I think there used to be.

Pete got HU with a guy at the Nugget who desperately wanted the trophy. After much negotiating the deal appeared to be that Pete would take first place prize money and the Canadian would get second place money and the trophy.
Pete got first place money and turned to walk away but the Canadian came after him and gave him an extra $300. Smiley

Morning Mark,

We asked if we could start early, but one (local) guy refused, as he is working this morning.

Who is your mate? Two Brits on the Final, a Scottish lad, & a southerner who is in Vegas every year, quite a well-heeled guy I think. He hit 5 Flushes in a row towards the end of play to go chip leader, or nearly so.

Think there is a good chance there will be "business" in this, as the American players wont want 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize for tax reasons.

Whatever, I'll be trying to win it. Lol......

I had a bit of a think about playing today's $1,500 WSOP PLOL8 as a "late reg".

I think Doobs nailed it - I'm used to playing a short stack, so I may as well.......

Depends what time I exit Nugget I suppose, but all being well, I'll still play the WSOP $1,500 PLO8.

I wont seek a chop, I never have, but I have a rule never to argue about these things, people get so arsey. If I hear "it only takes one hand" one more time from some knob who has clearly never negotiated for a living, I think I'll scream.

If the rest want to do Business, I'll go with the flow. That assumes, of course, I'm still at the table. An optimistic assumption, one might say.

Absolutely loving these updates over a morning coffee. Very well done so far.

Hope Jeeves dresses you appropriately for your FT.

Thanks Alan (& others who said similar).

Regular Updates are all you are guaranteed with me, we all know I'm a bit poo at poker, so the least I can do is give folks some sort of vicarious Vegas sweat.

It's bizarre, & a little embarrassing, really, & I chatted to Posh Alex about it a few days ago, when I cashed at Venetian. Dozens of kind comments & "well done's" on here, (which I really appreciate) but I'm only playing for pennies, whilst Barney, Deadman & so on are playing for 6 figures.

Strange world, the internet.

Got to bed about 3am, & set the alarm for 7am, as I had a Conference Call booked with the Office for 8am.

Tried to fire up the lappie to find the dial-in code & pin, but the internet in the room is seriously poo, so I could not connect.

Tried to text & phone, but the signal was dead.

Tried to use the Company "Message" service, again, the Wifi was no good.

8am came & went, & I got myself into a real lather.

So I missed the call & my head was all over the place. Eventually I got a message to the others on the call, & they rung me at about 8.20, & we spent 20 minutes (call that £30, I bet) chatting.

I really don't like missing pre-booked Meetings, & it totally threw me out of kilter, I was in a right lather.

Then I got involved in an e-Mail string with Rob Yong about something, that took half an hour. When dealing with Rob it's wise to reply promptly, believe me. I really enjoy doing stuff with him, but he's a real tough guy to second guess. Have to say, he has always been extremely kind, caring & supportive to me.

Then I had to do some "domestic chores" next Door, just bits & bobs, reply to e-Mails, arrange Free Entries, just minor stuff, but it's important to those involved to do it promptly & properly. Detail, detail, detail.....

Anyway, I'm settled down a bit now & looking forward to the Final @ Nugget. I'll head down at around 11.15, get me a Starby, then sit in Fremont Street for a bit & chill. I loathe arriving late for these things.
