In an odd twist of events, I once met once of these camming girls.
Next Door, who are famously prudish with these things, somehow got their wires crossed & invited a particular young lady to the Luton leg of the SPT.
She turned up, somewhat pneumatic & flirty, but generally pleasant.
And then the word got round, later the same day "have you googled her?"
Oh my, oh my of my.
I can't for the life of me remember her name now, but I think it was Kitty Somebody. Might have been "Lee", I just can't recall. Pretty sure Tighty will remember the young lady in question, if only because he has such an ordered mind.
Think it was the same SPT that John McCririck, Jac Arama that bloody "Crow" bloke were present.
Quite how those wires got so badly crossed I'll never know. Next Door don't like that sort of thing one little bit.
Kitty Lea I think it was. Around the same time I was roped into interviewing her for PokerNews, I think by you of all people.

After The Road to Little Dribbling, I started my next read, "The Dark Net".
Oh my word, you could not begin to imagine a more stark contrast from the easy read of Bryson's pleasant ramblings.
This is real life stuff, not fiction, & it's quite the scariest, most frightening & depressing thing I've come across in a very long time. It actually gives me nightmares if I read a chapter before bed.
If anyone here thinks they have seen, or been the wrong end of, trolling & flaming, read this book, & you are in for a very nasty surprise indeed.
Seriously, there are some bad bad people out there, who will stop at nothing to revel in the distress of others.
Barry Carter, in particular, probably understands this subject more than most, & I hope he reads it & shares his views with us more eloquently than I can.
Well written, & I can't put it down, it's like watching a car crash in slow motion. But it's just horrible in every way.
Read it, really enjoyed it (well not enjoyed, horrified, but interesting). There are some chapters about paedophiles which are uncomfortable reading.
Very much like this book, which I recommend as the best book of last year
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0196HJ6OS/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1
In both instances, the saving grace in each book is how well the author captures the humanity of the people involved, without that they would be very dark reading.
The author, Jamie Barlett, is worth following on twitter, he is doing a new book atm about people who find themselves in extremist political groups.
I'm currently reading this, which is on our favourite subject - entitlement. Its from someone who has studied it for 20 years and has 11 million surveys worth of data, a real treasure trove of the stuff
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Generation-Americans-Confident-Assertive-Entitled--/dp/0743276981/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1462465825&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=joan+twenge
Prior to that I was reading a few books on the Cold War, fascinating stuff
Thanks for all that, Barry. Don't start me off on "entitlement", please....
Think I'll get that "You have been publicly shamed" book. Quite a topic, that.
Recommend all of his books, he is like Louis Theroux but on paper instead of the screen.

Sure you are probably aware Tikay but there is an interested interview with your boss Richard Flint in today's racing post. Probably worth a read if you get the chance.

Thanks Argue, no, I was not aware, but I've just looked on the Racing Post website & I can't see the article. Do you have a link, or is it just in the print version?
I'd be most interested to read it.

It won't be on the website free to read. Either buy the hard copy £2.30 or sign up to the racing post online version on the app. You will get the hard paper copy page by page to download then exactly how the paper is. Should be in there.

Lovely scenes. Don't often fistpump as hard as when that fifth goal went in.

For those who don't follow betting, Chompy came up with a perfectly ridiculous series of bets over the weekend.
He suggested we back Peterborough, who were playing Blackpool, to score over 3.5 goals (10/1), over 4.5 goals (33/1) & over 5.5 goals (90/1).
Here's the timeline of the game, in which things were looking pretty grim at half time, & our man was getting some deserved stick.
16 minutes - 0-1.
48 minutes - 1-1
74 minutes 2-1
76 minutes 3-1
84 minutes 4-1
86 minutes 5-1.
He let us down on the sixth goal.
Impressive stuff, all the same.
For all that he looks like a country bumpkin, he might just be the best at what he does. If he had the clothes sense of Bryan Ferry, I'd like to be him.

Thanks Argue,
I popped across to Tesco & got a copy, can't be doing with these App things.
The piece is mostly puff, but some good snippets in there, including his confirmation that Leicester City cost them a bob or two. They can afford it though, all arms of the Business are on fire right now.

Did anyone watch the Hillsborough documentary last night?
Pretty depressing stuff.
I did not really want to watch it, but I could not bring myself to switch it off.
Apparently, it was "acclaimed" on Twitter.

I understand the free advertising that bookies get by announcing all these 5000/1 winning bets on lcfc, which is worth more than they pay out but why don't any "journalist" ask them how much have you made on Man U not winning?

You have the wrong picture. Last night was the Dan Gordon documentary. He is an ex sky sports director/producer. Made soccer am in the early days.

Ahh, apologies. The one I watched was on BBC2 @ 9pm last night.

I fancy they'd not get a clear reply.
And yes, with the Premier League having been so topsy turvy this season, not just Leicester, but the disappointing performances by Chelsea, Man U, even Man C to a degree. Add in the surprising performances by, say, Spurs, West Ham & Southampton, & it's clear the Bookies have had a bumper football season, no question about it. Only Arsenal performed to expectations yet again, God bless Mr W.

It really was harrowing wasn't it. Last week My wife and I took the kids to lay some flowers at the memorial at Hillsborough. My parents house is just at the other side of Hillsborough park from the memorial side of the ground and in the past the kids have asked a few questions as to why it is there. So after letting them watch some of the news footage the week before after the findings of the inquest we decided they knew enough now to come with us tho I was a little concerned they might get upset.
After each laying their bunch of flowers they were asking questions about the pictures and scarves and Caitlin counted every one of the faces on a picture of all the victims.
About two minutes after explaining some things to her she only asked me one question 'Dad, if I died would you come and take me home' (she told me later she had heard a man talking about that on the TV coverage the week before) At that moment I wasn't sure if we had judged it right by taking them.
My wife was reading the cards and I could see she was upset so went to stand with her and she pointed at one of the cards left on a bunch of flowers. It said roughly (tho I've taken the name out.)
RIP xxxxxxxxxx
I did everything I could that day, I'm so very sorry I couldn't do more.
Retired Former PC xxxxxxxxx (he had used his police number)
Really upsetting stuff and it encapsulated my only small sadness after the jurors delivered their verdicts the week before which was there were few mentions of the people of Sheffield and Nottingham in the articles written and the speeches made.
