What a disappointment that was, so near the money, & we got it in with almost identical hands.

Not gonna pretend it did not pinch a bit, but it's only poker, & that's how it works if you are just a foot-soldier who needs a bit of help from the cards.

Min cash was, I think, $2,400, which would have been well handy, with over $40,000 to the winner.

Anyway, that's that.

Today, I'm working doing the Live Update for SPT Las Vegas, so the continued Portland/Seattle minutiae will have to wait for another day.

I'm due to play the $250 Big O at GN tomorrow, but currently I'm a doubtful starter for a variety of reasons.

However, Tuesday sees the $1,500 WSOP PLO8, aka the Getting Out Stakes, and will be playing that 100% certain.

Before I go do my work, one photo from Seattle to be going on with. Just one. Minutia, right?

We had stayed overnight in Downtown Seattle, & were due to head off to the Boeing Tour at 0830, so I popped out to fetch us a couple of lattes & a danish to get the day started, & chanced upon this coffee shop smack next door to the hotel.

And here was their menu;

Just to confirm, am gonna swerve the $250 Big O Downtown today.

Was a really long day yesterday - 14 hours without a break or anything to eat, & I was wrecked when it was all over. Then, at 3am, the Rio Hotel fire alarm went off non-stop for 15 minutes.

Am gonna head out to Red Rock Canyon today, I want to spend a bit of time looking after Gill & I've been AWOL too much the last week.

$1,500 WSOP PLO8 at 11am tomorrow - can't wait. Love the tension & pressure of the Getting Out Stakes.

For once staying up playing poker until 3:30am = run good to miss the Fire alarm !

See you tomorrow.

good luck Tikay and Rob in the plo8.  I am very jealous.   I was playing on stars last night, and was fairly surprised that many of the O8 regs weren't in Vegas.  Maybe they have all got old and had kids too?

Wonder how much Hyde Park would be worth with planning permission? Several gazillions.

Thanks Doobs. Am all revved up for this, really excited.

Have cashed 3 times so far in WSOP PLO8 events, 12th in the $1,500 in 2012 for $15,000, 41st in the $3,000 version in 2013 for $5,400, & 56th in the $3,000 version in 2016 for $4,873, so if I get a bit of help from the cards, I know I can do it. For sure, we need it this year more than any previous year.

We shall see.

Ha, fabulous.

Many folks don't realise that the London Tube Map is schematic, & does not represent the actual routes taken. It's quite hard to explain, too.

For sure.

Same applies to Central Park, New York, I'd guess?
