I really enjoyed following your exploits, it has made me doubly  determined to break my Vegas duck and go next year.
Winning more would be great, but you enjoyed it and that is the main thing.

Was great meeting you Tikay, you have a knack of making people feel right at home. Have enjoyed your trip reports as much as writing my own. I’m not sure if I can get out to Vegas every year with my kids being so young other things have to take priority but I will certainly try again for next year.

Although I may not post as much as some people and as you have mentioned a lot of time people are just readers I would hate to see Blonde not be around, over the last 5 years, well really since I got ill, Blonde has actually been a big part of my life and has helped me get through some very dark times when I’ve been feeling at my worst, whether it’s been reading diaries, making money with TFT or just enjoying the debates on Politics and other threads. I’ve enjoyed writing my trip report and before that helping to bring the Greyhound thread back to life. I’m gonna commit to do my bit to help keep things moving as and when I can.

Good stuff Ommy, & thank you.

We could really liven blonde up if a few more made the effort - the way you revved up the Greyhound Derby thread was tremendous, & had us all reading, even those of us who are not mad keen on Greyhound racing, your sheer enthusiasm shone through the page.

We do have several threads like that, where they are primarily driven by 1 or 2 regulars, but we need more.

Glad you loved your Vegas baptism.

How's your back now? And your health, generally? Don't answer Q2 if it's a bit personal, but I know life's been a struggle for some time now. You'd be surprised how many folk care - 4 or 5 wrote to me & asked what your health problem was. They were not being nosy, they are just decent people concerned for you.

See Latest Member Kid Grimsby.

That'll be Dave Norsden, along with his wife Sue.

Been very good friends to me for years now, & always have a bit of the Vegas Stake.

Sadly, as I fly home tomorrow, they arrive, so it'll be the first Vegas we have not hooked up.

Sue was a Sky Poker Viva Las Vegas qualifier some years ago (2010, something like that?) & won over $35,000 in the WSOP Main. Great memories.

Welcome aboard Sue & Dave, xx

PS - here's Sue & Dave at SPT Brighton last November.

Sounds like you had a ball.

I did see you briefly but didn’t get the chance to say hello.

I was on Channing’s table in the seniors event in the Venetian car park.

Was in a hand and missed you.

Thanks for all the blonde work you do.

Bugger - wished I'd known.

The Venetian Car Park? I was in a bit of a bind when I first saw it, as Sky Poker had their SPT booked for Venetian, so I could hardly say "it's a chuffing car park", would have looked bad for the Sky Poker qualifiers. So I had to get onto the Office pronto to ensure we were in the "proper" Venetian. Luckily, we were.

Most annoying sign in Vegas?

This, for sure.

Starbys, Casino Cashiers, Tournament Registration, Cash Game lists, Hotel Reception, Taxi lines. Everything.

Pretty frustrating to stand in line for 20 minutes, & each time you reach the front, some guy wanders up to the front & gets served first as he is a "Diamond" Guest.

Thanks John.

Gill went home yesterday, so there was a curly lip or two. She's home now though, so the journey is behind her, I fly back tomorrow (Sunday) & arrive back home on Monday.

I wonder if that might have been composed by the character who was "prediter" on 'stars a good few years ago.

Looking forward to spending my returns in your staking package.....on a freddo.

As others have said, really enjoy reading all your exploits in Vegas (along with Jeeves and Mr Rutter this year). It also gets me more motivated to get there one year.

Have a safe journey back, and thanks again for all your reports....it does make a difference to those not there.

Thanks Alan, & yes, that's the idea.
