Thanks Tony , how I have looked forward to reading about your exploits every day when I get home from work.
Thanks for sharing and have a safe flight home .
Thanks Craig.
I bumped into Mark Bartlog in Vegas, & asked about Robert Binelli (sp?), the so-called "walking scarecrow".
Both Mark & Robert used to come across to the UK Festivals, including Walsall, pretty sure you would have known both of them.
I could not find a photo of Roberto, but here's Mark Bartlog;
EDIT - just found a photo of Robert, this would have been just after he won the £500 Midland Masters at Walsall in 2005;

Hi Tony
I remember Robert for sure but cannot say the same about Mark unfortunately.
Those Walsall festivals were great times and full of good characters . I do still miss them
Still can’t believe the sad news about Big Kev. I hadn’t seen him for years but used to go to Equal Chance and the Western with him some times . Two more places full of characters. He would have loved to watch England win last night and certainly would have still been out celebrating

My last night in Vegas was spent at Cashman Field, watching the Las Vegas 51's, thanks to an invite from Tal, & we were 4 handed for the first 5 innings, with Stu Rutter & Luke also present.
Cracking game, with the home team prevailing 15-2, which is a big result in Baseball. We saw Home Runs galore, with the ball clearing the boundary fence repeatedly, not just the short boundary (320') but also the long boundary (440'). (Not sure "boundary" is the correct term? Fence, maybe?).
The temperature was a steady 102f all evening, but with gallons of iced soda, it was bearable. A lovely evening.
Something I'd never seen at Baseball before was Finn the Dog, who replaced the more traditional Bat Boy;

I definitely recall seeing Kev at both Equal Chance & The Western.
I assume both are closed now?
Coincidentally, I bumped into a chap in Vegas last week who asked me if I had seen Derek Baxter of late. Last time I saw him, rather surprisingly, was at a Sky Poker UKPC 3 or 4 years ago.
A face I was surprised to see in Vegas this year was Micky Wernick, though sadly I never got chance to chat with him.

Or get nipped , nice swerve.
I heard Derek had not been well but that was a while ago so don’t really know.
How did Micky look? Good to know he’s still getting out to Vegas these days. I miss those days too

Thought Kevin was a great guy, wasn't bad at poker either. Met him once at a Celtic game v Norwich at Carrow Road, was there with his Celtic daft mate. Always greeted me with a 'pat' on the arm or back that took around 5 minutes to regain some feeling. Wouldn't have fancied taking a punch from him

Just came 6th out of 31 in a £2 Omaha Hi/Lo next door, been meaning to learn the game and thought I might as well start. Haven’t got a clue how I made the final table. Lol.
5th Omaha Hi/Lo Tournament and I came 1/29. Decent
Ha, PLO8 has a new recruit, good stuff Ommy.
I could not wait to get back Online & play a bit of PLO8, arrived home early afternoon on Monday, was playing PLO8 Next Door 2 hours later, & again last night. Played 13 DYM's at all buy-ins from £1 to £11, & made a whopping profit of.....£3.10.
How is your back now? You settled back in to home life?

I mean somebody stop me. WSOP 10k Hi/Lo here we come.
Fully back in work mode and Vegas is a distant but very good memory. Back is fine, little bit embarrassing but I think it may have been the massages that I got while in Vegas that caused the bruisers to my back, although obvs legs abit different, all fine now though. I got back on Friday and slept a good bit, stayed up late Sunday (6th in Main and 16th in Mini on Sky, not to brag but was wondering after Vegas if I could actually play, lol.) bed at 1:30ish, when I woke up Monday morn I thought the kids would be getting ready for school soon so I got up, it was 2pm, have not laid in bed my whole adult life for that long. Totally out of it.

I was searching for someone else on google images & came across this photo.
Anyone know who it is? Well known blonde, used to be a half decent tipster back in the day. Looks a bit of a tit here;
Is it Keith Allen?

Most nights, if we were not doing anything special, we'd eat at Rio Sports Deli. Love it there.
Burger & Chips for Gill, and Vietnamese boiled veg, rice, & stuff on lettuce for me.

Can't believe you got that thru, I'm going with my read. ' I Call'

That's such a good call mate. Reality is the fella has been a right pig in Vegas. So many sticky buns and ice-creams, treats for no reason. Poker was playing second fiddle to the allure of junk food. Completely ruined his concentration. If he had as many SCOOPIO's as he had Hagan Daas we'd all be millionaires.
Looking at that photo for a second time it's obv Kendall has the burger, you don't move to your mrs seat to take a photo right? But she probably isn't even present. And Tikay scooped the lot for the only time in Vegas. So disappointing.

Well if I knew who Keith Allen was, or had even heard of him, I could maybe make a witty rejoinder. But I've never heard of him.
By the bye, Gill starts her new job at Bet365 tomorrow, so if you happen to make a visit to the office (I know you usually WFH), do please go say hi. Think she'd like that.

A little known fact for you, my football hooligan friend.
You familiar with "ice-cream headache", that excruciating pain you get when eating ice-cream too quickly? Well Haagan Dazs (note correct spellage) is so pure, you don't get ice cream headaches when eating it.

Tomorrow marks a week since I got back from Vegas, & I'm suffering from a terrible bout of cba-ness.
The oppressive heat & humidity, time zone adjustment, post Vegas hangover, da de da, & I've spent the whole week doing bugger all. I'm struggling to sleep properly, & lack of sleep drains my battery, everything is too much trouble. Can't even get excited by England in the World Cup. The Open Golf in a few weeks is more my cup of tea. Proper sport, played by proper blokes, watched by proper, & respectful, spectators.
I'll start to sort out the Staking Dividends tomorrow. It'll take me 10 minutes to process the payments, & 10 hours to work out how much everyone is due. I guess the short answer is "not much". Jeez, I do miss Mere, he'd have a spready which sorted it all out at the click of a button. Instead, I'm going to have to scroll through scores of pages of drivel to work it out. Apols for the delay.
