Must congratulate Tom, especially his approach on the 11th from 80 yards, which he thinned so badly it went through the green at the speed of light, and hit a stone wall 50 yards behind the green "on the full" at such speed that it bounced back on to the green.

Course knowledge WP Tom. 🤣🤣

Beating Tony isn't easy, especially now that Moulty has taught him the art of creative science card marking.

So, technically, I owe Typhoon Bloke £5.

Today it's the much much tougher Priory Course.

Sensible bets will be considered.

Not so sure about today, calm, no wind, plenty of run

That fiver you don't break 101

I need a reply within 50 minutes or bets off

Ideally I don't want Bookie chalking either

Well that's not very nice.

At the time I posted "BET ACCEPTED"  I was well on the way to my worst round of 2025, but I just thought I'd be generous & give you a freeroll. Instead, you tell me to piss off.

And yes, you WOULD have won the bet. You know, the one you rejected.

Struggling to read that? No problem, here's Moulty's version.

By my  reckoning you were stood on 14th tee  thinking you stood a chance

Then you donked  12 shots off on the 5 remaining holes

Rebuys & re-entries? Nil.

So....

1) Enjoy myself.

2) No arguments, & never never allow so-called "bad beats" to bother me. Just enjoy.

3) Min cash.

4) Min cash.

5) Min cash.

6) Spend as long in the Comp as I possibly can.

I'm obsessed & fixated with min cashing. And yes, I can hear the mockery & howls of derision, but that's how it is. I want max table time for my money.

Greatest joy in Tourney Poker? 20 or 30 off the money, with a quarter average stack. It's not possible to have nor fun, more excitement, & a bigger thrill when the Floor Bloke says "you are all in the money".

Well I definitely ticked every one of those boxes.

Worry not, the poker bit has nearly finished.

TBC

You always told me to min cash first and the rest can wait and I've always done that however, sometimes I have Newportlad stood behind me when I get excited and he's saying shove shove don't you want to win the bloody thing so I shove and then I bubble and all of a sudden I'm in a room on my own.....

FFS.

I also have another book for you, I'll sort it out in the next week, it is letterbox friendly.

Glastonbury.

I loved Neil Young and enjoyed a few of the other acts from the smaller stages. For some reason CMAT made me smile and the earworm I've been left with after Glasto has been I wanna be a cowboy baby. I can't stop head humming it.

Maybe we all need a year off as well as the farm and we will all comeback full of enthusiasm. I hope so but I'm not that hopeful.

Look who I bumped into on the 14th tee at Wollaton today.

Blonde wouldn't let me upload the pics but hopefully his teekness will oblige later..

For me, Glastonbury has never been about the headliners, although there have been many that I have enjoyed. Sometimes it’s about sitting in the sunshine/rain and just being present.
I worry that two more years of wear and tear might shock me when we get back where the more gradual annual decline is less impactful.

A month into retirement and it's all going rather wonderfully so far. I thought I'd struggle to fill my days but so far it's been non-stop, Paris last weekend, then golf every day this week & poker last night.

Seems to me that a variation of Parkinson's Law is in play here.

Ralph (karabiner) sent me some lovely photos from Wollaton Park Golf Club where's he's been a member for a very long time I believe.

The Course sits is overlooked by the beautiful Wollaton Hall & is famous for the herds of Deer that roam around freely.
