I'm glad golf isn't a test.
Too right.
Amazingly, I play with at least 2 players who don't need a scorecard, they can remember their score at every hole. (Ralph & "Jac" aka Paul Jackson not the Poker Player).
By the time I get to the next tee, I can't remember what I scored on the previous hole. Probably just as well, I'm even worse at golf than poker.

Oh, I got tapped up last night by one of the USA PLO8 crew.
Decent player actually.
"I want to play the $10k Big O tomorrow Tony, but need to sell some action, I can let you have 50% at 10% mark up if you fancy it?"
Very kind of him to bear me in mind.
There was a time when I may have been tempted, but as always, I learn my lessons - eventually.

Name and shame . Surely someone I know .
I was bubble after you left the other night, though not stone bubble. Had multiple pots deep to go 1.5 average stack but alas not to be .
Hindsight says the extra week wasn’t necessary but no regrets.
PLO double board bomb pot today at MGM for “fun” though I’m not really feeling it an hour in , hopefully you’re having a better time if you’re still awake !
Decision tomorrow whether to enter the $2.5k O8/Stud8, it was my deepest run last year, including being chipleader briefly late on day 2, but I’m racking my brains and I’m pretty confident that I haven’t played a single hand of stud8, live or online, since.
Go home late Tuesday and should get back in time for the England game all being well.

I was just thinking the same thing Tom as my swing seems to be in terminal decline.

Hi Rob,
Not gonna name him but you almost certainly know him &/or have played him, & he made a WSOP Big O FT at one point. Anyway, he never played it today as he was at Orleans in the $240 Big O.
I'm quite surprised you never fancied a dash at today's $10,000 WSOP Big O? I'd have fancied your chances in that.
GL in the O8/Stud 8. I adore Stud, but if I draw an "end" seat I can't see the up cards of players at opposite end of the table these days. We play it in the weekly DC game at DTD but I get to choose a middle seat (3 or 4) there.

Today's game of choice was the $240 Big O @ The Orleans.
Early doors ran well and made some nice hands, and ran my 30,000 starting up to 74,500 at the first break & 84,700 at 2nd break.
Continued to press & soon had 120,000 thanks to half of a nice 3 way pot before the table broke. Shame, was very comfy there.
Things started to go wrong on new table, lovely starting hands to raise with but flopping badly.
Then the decisive hand went off.
I've got.....
Raise, 1 caller, and we see this dream flop....
= Nut low, nut flush draw, set of deuces.
I bet, villain 3 bets & we get it all-in very quickly.
Fella says "you are in bad shape pal" & flips same low & a bigger set. Wow, I never expected that.
So we have the same low but he has a bigger set. There's no escape from that.
I'm not dead, a non-pairing diamond gives me three quarters, but it bricks out & I get quartered & left with some 60,000 from a 240,000 pot, in which I was assuming I was getting three quarters, i.e., 180,000.
32 left with 18 paid so I need a quick bounce-back with Blinds 4k-8k/8k, & A-2-3-6-K double suited is more than adequate to get it in.
Fella says those dreaded words, "go on, I'll gamble with you" (exactly what I want & need, obv) & he turns over an all paint hand with K-K.
Don't mind that, but we don't see a single low card, it comes all paint, & so that's that.
Tomorrow's adventure is a real swingy one, $400 Big O/5 Card PLO @ Golden Nugget. Seat belts & crash helmet needed for that one but it should be a bunch of fun.

Vegas old-timers may be mildly interested to know that "The Cromwell" is no more. It sat on the junction of The Strip & Flamingo, directly opposite Caesars & Horseshoe, which was Ballys until it became Horseshoe recently.
If that's not confusing, The Cromwell can beat it. Originally Barbery Coast, it then became Bill's Gamblin' Hall, then Cromwell. 3 days ago it was re-born yet again as "The Vanderpump", named in honour of Lisa Vanderpump, sort of Trump-style self-branding. Still owned by Caesars though to add more confusion to the mix Caesars, saddled by huge debt financing costs, was recently sold to Fertitta.
No idea who Lisa Vanderpump is but she seems to be some sort of USA Reality TV star & entrepreneur.
