We were filming in High Wycombe High Street on Sunday. I don't do High Streets, ever, & it was interesting to note a new (to me) phenomonom.

Flash gits in sexed-up cars - spoilers, tinted windows, big exhausts, the usual kiddy-stuff - drove up & down the High Street, windows wide open, with their Radios on full-blast, with the Bass set at maximum.

Which everyone for 300 yards around had to listen to.

What is it with these guys? They think they look clever, cool, it's good to invade everyone's sound privacy with their frigging music?

I'd have 'em all shot. Loudly.

As I said on Sunday, I am NEVER doing a shoot at at pub or on a high street again! We've shot links all around Europe & in Vegas & not once have we been interupted. Yet on on the streets of Britain we are constantly asked what are we filming, when will it go out, what channel etc.. then they have to stick their ugly mugs in front of the camera & wave - as if we're going to use that shot! and these are grown men & women doing this as well as kids ffs! When asked what we are filming, I'm now answering "Gay Porn, would would you like to be in it?" & they still hang around! I''m thinking of having a slot in the show called "W**nker of the Week" & I just put up their pics! Then I would have them shot, loudly!

OK, rant over - as you were everyone!

If so, he must have a severe limp.

I was saddened to hear last week about the recent death of Norman Deeley.

Norman was my childhood soccer hero, & he played for the Arsenal of the fifties, Wolves.

Wolves were managed by a disclipinarian in Stan Cullis, with Major Frank Buckley as Club Chairman. It's hard to imagine how popular Wolves were in those days. They played the first ever TV Evening match under floodlights against Moscow Dynamo at Molienuex in about 1956 I think.

The team was full of heroes of the day. Billy Wright, who went on to win 105 caps for England, Jimmy Mullen, Peter Broadbent, Ron Flowers, these were the stars of their day. Billy Wright started the "trophy wife" trend for footballers by marrying one of the Beverley Sisters - who was a damn sight easier on the eye than Victoria Beckham, it must be said.

Norman started out as a right-half - that's midfielder these days I suppose, then became a winger, equally effective on either flank, though with Jimmy Mullen on the left side, Norman became a regular at right-wing. Two-footed, too.

He scored 23 goals one season, as I recall, this was 1957, when they won the First Division by 5 points from Preston Norrth End. He scored a shed-load again in 1959/60, but Burnley won the league in dramatic fashion, winning their last game to overhaul Wolves. In 1960/61, Wolves scored over 100 goals for the 4th straight year.

When he first played Under-16 Football, Norman was just 4'-4", & he never got bigger than 5'-4".

Controversy engulfed him in the 1960 Cup Final, in which he scored twice. He had a coming together with another player & the result weas a broken leg for his opponent. That man was one Dave Whelan, who went on to fame (Wigan Athletic) & fortune (JJB Sports). There were no substitutes in those days, & as a result of that one match, which was pretty much ruined by being 10 v 11, the law on allowing substitutions gained currency, eventually to be introduced a while later. Just as well, too, because if no subs were allowed, think of the havoc those cheating cynics like Norman Hunter, Jackie Charlton, Paul McGrath & Peter Storey would have got up to, knowing that a bad injury to an opponent would mean the opposing Team playing with 9 or 10 players. I followed Football week in, week out, went to matches twice a week minimum in those days, but I became sickened & disenchanted with the cynicism shown by Revie's Leeds United, & copied by so many others, & I've barely seen a Live match since.

I think Norman eventually moved to Leyton Orient, before ending his career at a bunch of non-league clubs. He had a job at Walsall FC as a Community Relations Officer until he died.

He was my hero.

RIP Norman.

Went to Luton last night, & watched in awe as Tighty blitzed the field in the £50 + £50 + £50. He's got some record there.

I watched him Button-Raise with K-Q & get smooth-called by a young lad. Flop is K high, Little Boy checks, Big Man Bets, Little Boy moves all-in. Big Man looks unwell, asks for a Rennie. Then calls. Little Boy has Aces. Turn, K.........

But he made the call, & that's the thing. 6 months ago, he passes there for sure. And as Thewy has shown, you gotta trust to luck sometimes, you can't win chips if your chips are not in the middle.

I had a fun-time, but not for long. I called a R with 6-3 & flopped trips, got paid, then blew half my stack racing against Jim McShane's two Pair when I flopped the K flush draw. But I played it right (IMO) putting Jim to the decision for which he correctly called, he Housed up on the turn befiore I annoyingly & uselessly Rivered my now drawing dead flush.

So back to grinding, but then I exited in a no-brainer. With 9-3, we saw a flop of 8-9-9, & short-stack moved in for 800, Deep-Stack smooth called, & I pushed for 5k more to isolate shorty. I had Shorty dead & buried, he had the 8, but Deep-stack, bit of a non-smiler, quickly called, & I know I may have a kicker problem now........ No regrets, I have my share of luck.

Nice to see Dingdell & Red down there, too, Red does not get there very often, & I'm hoping he'll be there more often. He played the Hold-Em Cash until about 4am, made a little I believe.

I had another interesting cash-session, being seriously down at one stage, to the tune of £1,500, but I clawed it back & finished just £174 down. There was a guy on the Cash-Table who had inherited my luck from Friday, & he blitzed us all, hand after hand. One Pot was £1,800, & Jim McShane & I both had outs galore, & both missed the bloody lot. But we got him in the end, glory be.

The Comp, by the way, started 3 minutes EARLY, well done Luton!

I played the Cash-Game until turned 5am, then when I got home at 7am, did 2 hours work before going to bed. Sadly, I had to pay the bill for too many late nights recently, & spent almost all of today in bed.

I did get up at Midday & did 3 hours of e-Mails & stuff, but then went back to bed, & got up at 8.30pm! I'm up to speed now, though, but got a heap of stuff to wade through.

Oh, & I'm grumpy.

Another cracking night in the cash game. Again plenty of good banter 1 guy asked how much you playing while the guy he was asking is sitting with 1 chip in front off him

in the first hour i had run my nut house into a straight flush my full of aces into quad nines against the same guy who also made a royal flush.

Tikay and i spent the whole night trying to get all the chips off of the table maniac but he continued to avoid all traps set. Eventually i caught him out at sperstud when the 2 of us get all the money in on 6th street. I have made a low he cant make a low so im freerolling with my double gutshot straight draw. he doesnt improve on his last card and tells me all he has is a pair of 3's. The problem is i dont have a pair and he is beating my ace high. I flip my last card over and its a 4. Giving me a pair of . I scoop the £1600 pot with a pair of . Tikay nearly fell off his chair having passed a pair of when the betting got heavy.

You getting all this guys? A £1,600 Pot in Super-Stud, Jim McShane took the low against "no low", & won the high with a pair of 4's.......! And I bailed out with 5-5!

I'll play there every night if my diary allowed.

Brian Sadler had quads twice, a straight flush, & a Royal, & I had a straight flush to the 6, & the wheel, in one Hi-Lo Omaha hand & got paid by Mr Maniac!

Happy days.

Who is your team Tikay?

Maybe you should try taking a Saturday afternoon off for old times sake and making it to a game.

I know Tightend goes to Leicester games as much as he can

Halftime pie and bovril?
