Luton has  come on leaps and bounds after the teething problems of opening the new casino.

The main reason for this in my book is the fact that they have discovered some real gems.

When Nina and Adrian run the rroom the place runs like clockwork.

Also they have amazing backup from the new dealers Apu (not from the simpsons) Satish and Anthony

Dealers and staff get such abuse when they make a mistake or someone loses a pot that they played badly. Its amazing how players dont give dealers any credit when they do a good job or if they win a big pot

I agree, and to be fair to Luton the last batch of 15 or so dealers were extremely well trained

Adrain too, going to make a good card-room manager soon

This years Dublin EPT Venue, the RDS (Royal Dublin Society) is a remarkable, & huge, place, with 15 or 20 different "Halls", & is fast approaching it's 300th Birthday.

The EPT held the Final (just the Final) there a year or two back, but that was in the Library. This year they held the whole shabang there, and in an adjoining Hall, at the same time, the Irish Knitting & Sewing Exhibition. I jest not.

The Hall the EPT was in was a vey strange, though lovely, Hall. Wide, high, & almost cathedral-like, it had circular iron columns supporting a vaulted timber roof, and reminded several of a Railway station, due to it's vastness. Sadly, they never had more than a few hundred players rattling around in there, which caused an odd atmo. Plain, undecorated, brick & stone interior walls, it had odd acoustics, but a beautiful building, no doubt about that.

The RDS has Hosted the Eurovision Song Contest twice, Springstein 4 times, Metallica, Justin Timberlake, da de da de da, & the World Show Jumping Championships were held there recently. Shamrock Rovers used the RDS Stadium for a while I believe, & Leinster still use it from time to time. Some Venue! Sadly, I can''t trace a picture of the Hall that the EPT used - can anyone assist?

One thing that that picture says is that it's not a wobbly table...
