Right, for polluting my Diary, you are gonna be punished. With a poker story. After which, some serious Updating to do, I'm just outa bed here after a bit of a nightmare few days.
So, I am on way home from Brighton on Monday, I'd stayed overnight both Saturday (after the Sky Show) & Sunday (after working & celebrating with the Thewster in Brighton) in Hickstead, & left the Hotel midday to start the long trek back to Derbyshire. Software probs arose with my Tom-Tom, & I found myself at G-Luton, for their rather splendid Monday night £50 + £50 + £50 jobbie.
Paid in, only to be told that it was a Super-Sat for this week's Main Event, which I cannot play, due to work. How do these misunderstandings occur?
Anyway, 40 odd runners, never had any rebuys, took my top-up, & the cards were very kind.
I tangled big-time with Mo Muse & Ian (ex Luton, now Western Dealer) in a sort of big-dick contest, & somehow the three of us got all-in pre for 7k in the 25-50 Level One. (We began with 2k).
Ian showed 7-8 (WHAT?), Mo had J-4 (the fool), & I dominated them both with 7-8. We saw a 3-4-6 flop, followed by a 5 turn, & Ian got seriously lucky to chop it up with me. He's too lucky by far, how did he get out of that?
Anyway, with 15 players left, I'm cruising to a seat, of which there were 6.
And then.......
Please don't specualate on what happened next, or take the piss, whilst I write up how I triumphed majestically......sort of.

194,000 chips are in play, there are 6 seats (& £100 for 7th), I have 25,000 chips, 15 players are left, so average was 13,000 roughly.
I am just about ready to shut-up shop - I am quite sure I can bullet-dodge my way to a Seat here - when an odd thing goes off.
I'd just been moved to the other table, & a stranger made it 4,000 at 400-800 in early position. I have not seen my cards, but I'm already in semi-lock-up mode here, as I should be. So I think to myself, what range do I need to go over the top here? KK & AA, no less. And would you believe I found two black Kings. I re-pop to 10k, it goes round to Mr Stranger, he dwells for bit - suspiciously I thought - & then pushed all-in for 23k.
So, what do you do here?
Well, I did that daft thing we sometimes do. Suspecting he had Aces, I mused out loud "I have Kings, I think you have Aces, & I can get off my Kings". Which was a perfect read. So it's hard to understand how I came to say "call". But my read was spot-on, it was just my brain which malfunctioned.
Seriously, is this just "one of those things", or could/should I Pass here? I think it's a marginal one. If I let go after he first Raises, well, that's daft, I can't Pass Kings to every Raise. But once I had re-popped (leaving 15k behind) & he's pushed, it's a close decision I think. I think it plays diffeent if I'd been first to speak, & he'd pushed behind me, but I'm not sure I can get off this hand in truth. But I should have, for sure.
So, what would YOU do?

With above average chips when you fold, and your ability relative to the average satellite field there (many of whom will spew chips rather than lock up to a seat) its a pass. I don't even think its close.

i passed QQ in the sat last night and timed out with KK when i wasnt paying atention after i raised
both to the same person and both times he showed AQ and then AA
both times he could seriously dent my stack
but i would rarely pass KK even in a sat unless i am well above average and the other guy has a stack that could damage me

Sadly, I think you are right. Tom, of course, is wrong.
The other factor I failed to take into account, was that Mr Stranger was the ONLY player on the table with more than Average, i.e., enough to damage me mortally.
Outcome. Busted.
Cause. Loss of concentration.
Next case.

The Nation owes a debt of gratitude to "The Sun" newspaper. Today's shock-horror headline was....
"Amy Whitehouse takes crack".
Who'd have thought that?
Still, it makes a change from "Maddie - witness comes forward to say she saw suspicious looking man near room" Which, we are led to believe, she's just remembered. 8 months after the event.
Do the papers just think we are stupid? Or are we stupid?

Only reason for you to pas KK at this stage of the comp is on read. You had a read so then its fine to pass.
You shouldnt however pass cos you have 25k in a sat. You dont have enough chips at this stage to do so. You only have 1/8 of the chips in play with 6 seats plus £100 being paid out. So for me you need to have 50k + to be passing this hand at this stage.
